Are You Pleasing God ?

Are You Pleasing God?

Our life focus as Christians should be to please God. Webster defines honor as: merited respect: social courtesies or civilities extended by a host. Glory: to rejoice proudly; a ring or spot of light or a state of great exaltation. God is truly worthy of all the honor, glory and praise. We can never please people but we can sincerely attempt to live a life pleasing to GOD.

We must commence transforming our internal thought process. We must erect a spiritual edifice that exudes God is my focus. Saying giving honor is not really giving honor. We must retreat from the classical conditioning of the world and truly embrace the principle of “let this mind be in you that is also in CHRIST JESUS.” Does this mean we become flawless? No, of course not! The Word teaches us that the  flesh is weak.  “All have sinned and fallen short of His glory.”  But we can learn to be strong in the Lord. However, we can become complete in the Lord.  We can be washed by the precious blood of  Christ Jesus!

It is only through His power can we overcome the weaknesses of the flesh. The victory is always in Christ Jesus. We must strive to please God rather than man/woman.  We can call upon Him as our Savior and Lord 24/7! The spiritual things of God can not be understood from a carnal perspective. The Pharisees were great examples. Knowing about God is not knowing God. Christ said too truly love Him is to keep His commandments.

Trials yield Character Building Lessons

The trials we face in life should be viewed as character building lessons. God is a Spirit of Truth and we must embrace the truth however painful. On the other side of pain is hope. When our hope is in the Lord we should begin to release the reigns of worry. God really does have it all under control. We don’t have to manipulate anything or anybody.

If we earnestly; “…Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to our own understanding and in all our ways acknowledge Him.  He will direct our paths.”  Proverbs 3 God will not put more on us than we can bear. When our load seems unbearable we must make a spiritual adjustment. You must shift your focus to the Lord!  Jesus has said “that His yoke is easy and His burdens are light.” We must learn to give Him our burdens.

We must sometime learn to retreat when the spiritual warfare becomes unbearable. Not out of fear but simply giving it over to the Lord.  We must really let go and allow God to intervene. Stop playing tug-a war (giving Him the problem and taking it back). We must ask, pray and seek whatever His will is for us in all situations. Remember during spiritual warfare He tells us; when you have done all you can do STAND! God deserves the glory. It is when things seem hopeless His miraculous power shines through.

In the midst of spiritual warfare there is much distortion. There is a tendency to  read things into things that are not so. You will often  speak when you should be silent. Don’t respond impulsively. Quite often much  misinterpretation is present and  the motives of others are questioned. We must learn to become objective and ask ourselves is God pleased? We can’t change anything that has happened. But we can learn that it is always best to seek God’s direction.

Where two or three are gathered together in HIS Name, He is in the midst.

There are  profound  reasons Christ Jesus sent out His Apostles/Disciples  by twos.   Together they could present a valid witness. There is power in unity when two touch and agree in Jesus Name! Not because of who we are. But because we know without doubt that;  “Jesus said to be of good cheer I have OVERCOME the world and therefore I also OVERCOME the world because Greater is HE that is in us than he that is in the world…” John 4

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” ~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Always seek the will & the way of the Lord above all others. If you know your motives are right it really doesn’t matter what it looks like to others.  For we can always lean and depend upon God. We are forever learning how to be  or become better and more efficient disciples of Christ Jesus!

When others  don’t understand GOD Does.  RESET! For the adjustment has to be internal. To experience inner peace we must learn to hide HIS WORD within our hearts that we might not sin against HIM! We must begin to reprogram our minds to respond spiritually rather than carnally. Just remember when we speak softly or not at all people will see it as a weakness.  Their perspective of power is being loud and forceful! Many don’t understand the power  and discipline involved in meekness. Still waters run deep…

Never be afraid to intelligibly speak THE TRUTH! When we speak boldly those very  same  people will see it as being uncaring or even arrogant. But yet they will justify whatever it is they choose to  do. GOD always knows exactly where we all are coming from…  So, Live to Please GOD!

GOD THE FATHER,  JESUS CHRIST HIS SON & HIS HOLY SPIRIT; HIS COMFORTER  ARE ALL ONE!!!  This is our greatest example of unity. There is nothing or no one that comes even close to the POWER of GOD!

In the LORD WE CAN BE CONFIDENT!

When you disengage from a seemingly endless merry-go round of fight- fuss-makeup-breakup some often will feel abandoned. When you don’t  respond or give them what they want you will appear selfish. When you allow them to feel the consequences of their behavior you will appear unloving.  Correction is a part of Love.  Loving people is not making them comfortable in sin.  You actually enable  dependency rather than  fortify strength.  God wants us to all to find strength in HIM!

Just know that God really knows why you do what you do. It is He who we must strive to please. Don’t procrastinate begin now. Press forward and let it become your daily goal to please Him. Encourage others to do the same as well.  This is how you break the cycle of dysfunction.  There are many things that just won’t be understood on this side of heaven. As long as GOD has us on this side of Heaven  we continue to grow in His grace. That is if we continue to embrace His principles… You can rest assured that those who seek the truth, delight themselves in Him will receive the desires of their hearts. Heaven will be our eternal place of rest! Come what may; Hallelujah anyhow!

I must say again we can’t please people.  But,  we can make a sincere effort to live each day to please God. He  is our Creator and Maker, He has created us to praise, worship, and honor Him. We must learn to nourish ourselves with HIS WORD. Apply its principles to our lives and allow the fruits of His divine and Holy Spirit to permeate our being. We are to let our lights shine. Jesus died for us! Jesus was persecuted, mistreated, misunderstood and disliked. Yet He never sinned or did ANYTHING WRONG. He conquered sin in the flesh for us.  He offered Himself as a living sacrifice for the sins of the world.  He died so we could live better spiritually enriched lives.

We are to be the “Salt” of the earth. We are to preserve and embrace God’s principles for life and living everyday.

Christ Jesus is the Living Word

There were places Jesus went that due to unbelief little progress was made in the lives of some of the people  Not because of Him but because of them. They wanted him to conform to their ways  instead of having their lives transformed through Him.   Yet He continually remained faithfully focused to the mission of His Father God.  They were unable to benefit from what He had to offer. They were shallow minded and spiritually blinded by their own traditions.   It was not  change that they really wanted,  but control. They wanted Him to do what they wanted… We too can expect some of the same.

I truly believe  God has a plan for the life of each one of His children. But in order to discover that purpose you must  be committed and connected to Him. You never have to force yourself upon others.  Nor do you have to  adapt to their environment.  You must be willing  to develop an intimate up close personal  relationship with the Lord. You must be willing to submit to His Will and His Way. Through the power of His Holy Spirit we can  most definitely become spiritually whole. We must always be ready and willing to share with others the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

GOD is truly amazing and HE can make the impossible POSSIBLE!

God wants you to know Him from the inside out.  It is inside the  heart of believers  He comes to reside. He wants to be a part of every area of your life. He wants to reveal Himself to you, “To whom God would make known what is the mystery among  the Gentiles; which is  CHRIST IN YOU; THE HOPE OF GLORY.”  COLOSSIANS 1

In these “Last Days” you must remain firm in your FAITH!

You must be willing to  step out on faith and trust God.  Allow Him His place in your life as the Author and Finisher of your Faith!  God is more than able to help you to do and accomplish whatever He calls you to do. Know this; “Whenever two or three are gathered together in His Name; He is in the midst.”   The key is being gathered together in His name.  To want His Will  & His  way over  everything else. Truly having God in your life makes all the difference in the world. YES WE CAN: “…Be strong in the LORD, and in the POWER OF HIS MIGHT.  Put on the full Armor of GOD, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil… Ephesians 6  The victory is always  in our Lord &  Savior  Christ Jesus! This way He gets all the credit!

LIVE EVERYDAY: “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!”
