Moving To Higher Ground Part 2

LEADERSHIP STYLES CHANGE AND FLUCTUATE

I have seen an innumerable amount of leadership styles change over many decades and fluctuate outrageously within the church. Robert Rules of Order often suspended right alongside with broken commitments and biblical principles. Discipline and morality are all too often tossed aside like a garden variety salad. Then dressed up with a salad dressing of pickled “unconditional love” garnished with hot sassy tempers. There is no need at all to be jealous of this… What do you do when you know that something has gone awry? Should you just go along with the majority to be accepted within the group? NO! You PRAY and seek the Lord’s direction. You know that His Church is not made by hands.

Truly the LORD is our Forever GOOD SHEPHERD!

We the people are His true Church! God will always make a way. Truly God will fight your battles. God’s Word really does have cleansing power. “All scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so the Man/Woman of God can be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” When applied it really works! To be accepted you must often do anything but stand up for what’s right. If you don’t conform, you risk being accused of being unfriendly and considered unloving. To put it simply you are downright labeled evil, and oh by the way, you just don’t like people. REPENT!!!

“And You SHALL KNOW the TRUTH, and The TRUTH WILL SET you FREE!” THANK GOD FOR DISCERNMENT! HALLLELLLUJAH ANYHOW!

The Lord says that we should “not conform but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” I love the Lord and all that His Church really stands for! I cannot count the times that I have been told by so many that I now; just go and do my duty and leave……… I can literally stay in a good Spirit filled worship service all day and night. There is nothing I like better.  God is my life. I am really thankful that I know a few places of worship where I can retreat to that God truly is worshipped “in Spirit and in Truth.”  I Thank God for His Apostles, bishops, ministers, minstrels, elders, teachers and pastors who really realize that He is worthy of the honor and preeminence.

BROTHERS & SISTERS?

I stay in the loop just enough to stay abreast of how things are progressing. I applaud those who continue to jockey for the inside positions. I take the “CALL” upon my life seriously. GOD’S APPROVAL is all I/ we need! But with those who say they are my brothers and sisters or sinners? I simply refuse to continue to fight. It never ceases to amaze me what they will fight over. Things such as what to wear and when. Should we dress formally or informally, depending on who or what we are celebrating? This is our church? Yes indeed for some it may be your building but really is God’s Church welcomed? I thought it was all about who? JESUS of course! Well, I am a part of GOD’S CHURCH!

Apostle John’s attire was made from camel’s hair. Do you know what a camel’s hair coat cost? How much does some of the designer jeans cost? Who gets to stand out front and lead sing? Who gets to preach and sit in the “high chairs” or sit on the front row? What group dances today? This is my seat? What Tee shirt or jersey are we wearing today? How much money does such and such a person have or give or don’t give? Whose uncle or father is in charge or whose mother, father, brother or sister,  teaches Sunday School? Where does the piano go? Whose family is in charge and on and on… What does it matter? REPENT!!!

We choose to praise, thank and worship God everyday!

If it matters so much that we look alike as far as our facial colors, and that we are from the same denomination or? How does that all fit into God’s plan? Heaven is not segregated by color. The great commission includes everyone. Lord help us! The point I am trying to make is; I’m out of the ring but not ever out of His presence. Back sliding is not even an option! I have spent too much time within the walls. As a matter of act all of my life… Let me out!  Together we agree to worship the Lord on one accord; “In Spirit and in Truth!” Being A Christian is our daily lifestyle! You see it does not matter what you say; I know who I belong to.  Not arrogant, no low self-esteem but indeed confident! I encourage you to really get to know the Lord for yourself! This way you will not be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. I am steadily moving towards…

Moving to Higher Ground

Jesus lived, died and arose so we could live differently. We can go anywhere in this world He created. He freely gave us the precious eternal gift of salvation! We have been given the gift of having His Holy Spirit residing within us! It has been sealed with a promise He has also promised to supply “all of our needs.” And He does and will for He keeps all His promises. That means the needs of His Church as well. If you lack wisdom; Ask God? He will and can make a way out of no way for His Will. He is the ultimate Way Maker!

“HE’S A GREAT GOD!”

The great commission described in Matthew simply says; “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age…” Matthew 28:19-20. I thank God for freeing us to go beyond the walls.  Abba Father God,  has allowed us to carry the Gospel of Christ Jesus many places throughout the world far & near…  This has allowed us to really step out on FAITH and launch out into the deep and cast my/our line far beyond the shallow shore. God is utterly amazing!

God is so cavernously deep! He is infinite. We are to give Him the preeminence in everything. I am thankful of my position in Christ as His child!  I am also thankful to be His Elder/Minister and Ambassador dedicated to The Gospel of Christ Jesus! God is omnipresent and forever faithful. Everywhere we are and go  He is  with me/us!  In Him alone; I am confident and know I am never alone. Although it is quite liberating, to the unknowing surface onlookers it appears as though perhaps I have become aloof. “Stand fast therefore in the Liberty wherewith CHRiST has set you free and be not entangled with a yoke of bondage…” Galatians 5

GET BETTER NOT BITTER

Wherever we are; it is important to always be aware of what is happening around us.  Even more so in the midst of worship. “Praying without ceasing” is a state of mind. We must constantly turn our minds to the Lord and seek His direction. Know when and when not to respond. I thank & praise God for discernment. But His Holy Spirit keeps me meek and alert!  “THANK YOU HALLLELLLUJAH!“

“Man looks on the outside, God looks at the heart.” He not only looks but knows what is in all of our hearts.   Saved, sanctified & free!  For God has placed a spiritual altar in my/heart. A place reserved for Him…  He made each of us uniquely. “GOD is not a respecter of persons. He does not discriminate. So whosoever will; HE says; COME!

“PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING”

Pray all throughout your day and take praise breaks. This is how we stay connected to the Lord. You can pray standing, sitting still, laying down or laying prone flat face down. Yes, you should pray going about your daily activities. God will meet you wherever you are and continuously allow His Grace, Joy & Peace manifest and multiply within you. Through Christ Jesus, His Holy Spirit will lead us as we diligently seek Him. Everything that you will ever need for life, daily living and eternal life you can discover in the Lord.

HEAVEN is GOD’S THRONE and the earth is GOD’S FOOTSTOOL!  

CHRIST JESUS really is coming back for HIS CHURCH  not made by hands. Each day is a precious “GIFT” from the Lord. God holds each one of us accountable for how we embrace and live out what we say we believe. So, thrive to live each day to please God. The victory is in your sincere praise. “God inhabits the praises of His people.” As a matter of fact; new heights I am gaining every day. I have found a higher place. My aim and my goal is; I am daily reaching towards “HIGHER GROUND!!!”

SEEK GOD ABOVE ALL!!!

Abba Heavenly Holy Father,

We acknowledge you today and everyday as the KING of Kings & the LORD of Lords. You are the ALPHA & the OMEGA the beginning & the end, the first & the last. Lord truly you are; “THE GREAT I AM!” Above You there is no other! Lord God, You are the Father of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. You are the Father of us. Thank You Father for being in the midst of us and for your omnipresence. Thank you for keeping us on the path of righteousness for your namesake.

We know without doubt that CHRIST JESUS is the Head of Your Church for this we thank you. Thank You for Your precious Holy Spirit Your Comforter. Thank you Father for your everlasting love. Lord we know that you are preparing your Church for the return of our Lord & SAVIOR CHRIST JESUS. Father God, our faith, hope & trust is forever in You. Therefore, we pray and beseech you in Jesus Name; Lord may Your Word continue to boldly go forth all throughout the world…

GOD IS MORE THAN ABLE!

As the world grows colder to the truth of God’s Word know it is on a “slippery slope.” Many of the ways of the world have also nested themselves in the midst of many places of worship… Allow God His place within your life. He will meet you right where you are and take you where you need to be as you learn to trust HIM… This is why it is so very important for you to know God’s Word for yourself. Therefore, spend time with God in His Word. He can bring peace to your life… Please be aware, be sober, be alert and see what is happening all around us. Know we are living in a spiritual war zone.

There is always hope in the Lord. God says: “REPENT!!!

“HEAVEN IS GOD’S THRONE & The Earth Is HIS Footstool!”

Pray wherever & whenever you are out and about in the world, at work or at home. And yes also during worship turn your mind towards the Lord. Whenever and wherever you worship know this; “GOD IS A SPIRIT AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!” John 4 Commit daily to worship the Lord in Spirit & in Truth. Always seek the will & way of the Lord above all. Above all follow JESUS!

“BE GOD’S CHURCH EVERYDAY & EVERYWHERE!”

“PRAY WITHOUT CEASING…” I Thessalonians 5 Give thanks to God throughout your day. And take praise breaks all throughout your day. Recharge your soul and enjoy having your own personal worship. It can be refreshing. Invite the presence of the Lord all around you as well as in your home. Daily embrace God’s Word. For He will place it within your heart. Stay adorned daily in the spiritual armor. See Ephesians 6

“DRAW NIGH TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NIGH TO YOU.” Matthew 15

GOD CAN WHEN NO ONE ELSE CAN

God is sovereign He is the Giver and sustainer of life. Everything that you will ever need you can discover in Him. In the Lord you can become whole. An ongoing growing relationship with Christ Jesus can and will tremendously enrich your life in every way. Christianity is a daily lifestyle. Therefore, EVERYDAY; “LIVE OUT LOUD THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST JESUS!” Be led by His Holy Spirit. Seek to live a responsible well balanced life. Embrace truth! Know God and His Word for yourself. For we serve an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God! We can always and forever trust God and His Word. You can call upon the Lord 24/7. Oh what an awesome wonderful Savior!

Almighty God is able to lift you and anyone else from anxiety, anger, depression, doubt, fear, hate, oppression, prejudiceness, poverty and anything else that is not of Him. “GOD IS LOVE!” Know that life is a precious GIFT from GOD. HE LOVES You and has a plan for your life. It is your choice to seek Him above all else to discover everything that you will ever need for life, daily living and eternal life… Embrace God and His Word daily.

If you really want to be FREE know this;

” …If ye continue in My Word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free! ” John 8

Then;

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness and everything else will be added unto you…” Matthew 6

SEEK GOD ABOVE ALL!!!

Our Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent GOD

WE SERVE AN OMNIPRESENT, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT GOD!
GOD IS OUR CREATOR & MAKER. THE EARTH IS HIS FOOTSTOOL. HIS THRONE IS HEAVEN. AND OUR BODIES ARE HIS TEMPLE WHERE HIS HOLY SPIRIT/HIS COMFORTER RESIDES. WE HIS PEOPLE ARE HIS CHURCH!

 

Who is CHRIST JESUS? “in HIM we have redemption through HIS BLOOD, EVEN THE FORGIVENESS of sins.

Who is the image of the invisible GOD, the first-born of every creature. For by HIM all things were created that are in Heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions, or principalities or powers ALL things were created by Him and for HIM.

And HE is before all things and by Him all things consist. and He is the Head of the Body, The CHURCH, who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in all things HE might have the pre-eminence.” Colossians 1

 

Earth is GOD’S Footstool

This is what the LORD says about HIS FOOTSTOOL

“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?” Isaiah 66

Did you know GOD is even greater than the heavens. Everything was spoken into existence through HIS Living Word Christ Jesus!

Remember this earth where we live is the Lord’s footstool!

Yes, we can gather together in the many places of worship. It is truly wonderful to want to worship & praise the Lord!  Do welcome the presence of GOD all around you. Yes do, congregate together to worship, pray & praise the Lord. Make sure wherever you assemble is safe… But know that this is not where GOD lives. We who are believers are to live a life of worship. Know that HIS HOLY SPIRIT is present everywhere. There is nowhere that GOD is not. When you really believe this you will live, be and think differently. As a matter of fact GOD has created us to daily worship HIM. Worship continues in Heaven.

 

“AND YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!”

There is much that has crept in amidst GOD’S CHURCH that is NOT of HIM! “The WHEAT AND the tares are growing together.” MATTHEW 13  PRAY FOR DISCERNMENT!

 

KNOW GOD lives within the Hearts of HIS PEOPLE who are HIS CHURCH!

 

 

God is infinite and immeasurable

It is important to know that God is beyond infinite! He is so much greater than our little finite minds can ever totally conceive. Whatever your perception of GOD is; He is so much greater. We cannot minimalize God or reduce Him to our human comprehension. But we can get a better understanding of who He is through His Word!

 

GOD is omnipresent and HE cannot be restricted to any one place. No one can contain GOD! For He is absolutely illimitable and without boundaries. He is extensively inconceivable and immeasurable.

 

 

Heaven is HIS Throne

This is what the LORD says about HIS THRONE:

“The LORD is in HIS Holy Temple, the LORD’S throne is in Heaven: HIS eyes behold, HIS eyelids, try the children of men/women. Psalm 11

GOD’S THRONE IS HEAVEN!

GOD is incorporeal. HE is not human flesh. HE IS A SPIRIT! His throne is not akin to a big literal chair as we deem fit for royalty. The throne represents God’s supreme sovereignty. Here is where HIS Holy Power and Authority are divinely evident. Heaven itself is the LORD’S THRONE.

 

“But I say to you, Swear not at all neither by Heaven; for it is the LORD’S throne; Nor by earth; for it is HIS footstool; neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the Great King… “Matthew 5

“…Behold I stand at the door and knock. if any man/woman hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him/her, and will sup with him/her, And he/she with Me. To him/her that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with MY FATHER in HIS THRONE. He/She that hath an ear, let him/her hear what the SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES.” Revelation 3

GOD is always available. You just have to be willing to seek HIM!

 

Christ Jesus is the Son of God

CHRIST JESUS IS GOD THE FATHER, ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. He came to earth from HEAVEN: and was born of the Virgin Mary within a body of sinless flesh. HE IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD. “IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. THE SAME WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM; AND WITHOUT HIM WAS NOT ANYTHING MADE THAT WAS MADE…” John 1

 

CHRIST JESUS overcame sin in the flesh for us. To demonstrate His glorious Love and Power to the powers and principalities that be. To His Church as well as this world. He lived a sinless life. Yet, He was unjustly disrespected, mistreated and persecuted. By those He came to help! Then He was mercilessly beaten, crucified and died upon the cross and was buried… Yet, He arose from the grave with ALL POWER and ascended into Heaven in His glorified body. He is now in Heaven upon His throne. As believers, His Holy Spirit resides within our hearts.

 

Our Body is HIS Temple

“Know ye that ye are the Temple of GOD, and that the SPIRIT of GOD dwelleth in you. If any man/woman defile the Temple of GOD, him/ her shall GOD destroy, for the Temple of GOD is Holy, which temple ye are…” I Corinthians 3

It is important to know that if you are a believer and have truly accepted Christ Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior; Your body is a Temple. Therefore it behooves you to think about this on a deeper level. God wants to be a part of every area of our lives. But it is your choice?

 

“And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? for ye are the Temple of the Living GOD; as God has said, I WILL DWELL IN THEM, AND WALK IN THEM AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. Wherefore, COME OUT, FROM AMONG THEM, AND BE YE SEPARATE, saith the LORD AND TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING; AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU, AND BE A FATHER UNTO YOU, AND YE SHALL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, saith the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.” II Corinthians 6

 

We live in the world but not forever

Yes we are in the world. But we are not to be as the world. Many of the ways of the world have nested themselves among the CHURCH of GOD. It is important to always keep in mind that we “The People of GOD” are HIS CHURCH! Not the building. There are many different places of worship all throughout the world. Some are deeper into the Word of God than others. Know this; upon your personal profession of faith and acceptance of CHRIST JESUS into your heart as your LORD & SAVIOR; SALVATION BY HIS GRACE & ETERNAL LIFE is a precious GIFT from ALMIGHTY GOD! You cannot pay, tithe or earn your way into Heaven. We are not “SAVED BY WORKS!” We are “SAVED BY GOD’S GRACE!” Some are quite steeped into their denominational & non denominational doctrinal beliefs and practices. This is why it is so very important to know the WORD of GOD for yourself.

 

Earth is not our final destination. We will each live throughout eternity with GOD or without GOD! If you desire to live in Heaven it is important to know that JESUS CHRIST is the only way to Heaven. HE IS GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON… There is no other way for HE is the ONLY DOOR. He is also Manna meaning; Spiritual Bread from Heaven. He can OR will feed our mind, body & souls. But, it is your choice? He is God’s Amazing Living Word! Know today without doubt where you will live throughout eternity.

“…And Jesus said unto them , I AM the BREAD of LIFE; he that cometh to Me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.” John 6

 

“…Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM the Door of the sheep. All that came ever before Me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them. I AM the Door; by Me if any man/woman enter in, he/she shall be SAVED and go in and out and find pasture. John 10

 

GOD knows where everyone all over the world lives and why! There is nothing that He is not aware of past, present or future about anyone. Therefore wherever you are you can reach out to HIM. “Draw nigh to GOD and He will draw nigh to you…” James 4

 

Where is God?

GOD IS EVERYWHERE! ABOVE THE LORD THERE IS NO OTHER!

For HE is our Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent, GOD!

As long as GOD allows us to remain on HIS earth there is more to experience & learn. Each day is a day to grow closer to the Lord. To truly know Love is to know GOD for; “GOD IS LOVE!” And a part of HIS LOVE is correction… GOD’S LOVE IS ETERNAL and it lasts through ETERNITY.

“…God made the world and all things therein, seeing that HE is LORD of Heaven and earth dwelleth not in Temples made with hands.

Neither is worshipped with mens/women’s hands, as though HE needed any thing, seeing HE giveth to all, life, and breath and all things,

And hath made of one blood all nations of Men/Women for to dwell on the face of the earth, and hath determined the times appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

That they should seek the LORD, if haply they might feel after HIM, though HE be not far from any of us!

For it is in HIM we live, and move and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also HIS-offspring… ” ACTS 1

Know who you are in the LORD!

GOD is Speaking in these “PERILOUS DAYS” by HIS SON

God is Love yet He is also a God of wrath!

 

It is important to know that God is patient and that “GOD IS LOVE!”   But it is just as important to know that God is also a God of wrath.  He has given us His Word by which we can better understand who He is.   His Word teaches us who we are in Him or who we can become. God’s Word is our necessary essential spiritual food for our mind, body and souls.

 

There is much going on in the world. today. God’s Word is being fulfilled right in front of our eyes. In His Word we can discover a wealth of spiritual wisdom. It is through His ever lasting wisdom we are able to be disciplined and develop healthy boundaries. It is important to stand upon the Word of God. For this world is on a ” Slippery Slope. ” As believers we must spend time daily in God’s Word. For by His Word we are also able to better grow in His grace, peace, love and understanding. But we must embrace and implement His principles.

 

 

Know your Potential in God Your Heavenly Father

 

Each day we should strive for the perfection that is attainable in God. For in the Lord we can be complete. As believers He bestowed upon us His precious Holy Spirit to lead us to all TRUTH! You can be or become secure in God. Everything we need we can discover in Him. He is never far from us. His Word speaks volumes about becoming perfect in Him which is quite often overlooked or misconstrued. God says;

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5

 

God’s Word is a message to His Church and to the world.

 

“… ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAT THE MAN/W0MAN OF GOD MAY BE PERFECT, THOROUGHLY FURNISHED UNTO ALL GOOD WORKS.’’ II TIMOTHY 3

 

There are countless examples within the Word to help us to grow and mature spiritually.  In Jonah, Nahum and Jeremiah we are given several wonderful examples. Here we can see how the people lived when good kings ruled and when bad kings ruled.  What happened when they obeyed GOD and when they disobeyed as well as the consequences.

 

God spoke to His people for many years through His many prophets, prophetess, elders and priests all throughout the Old Testament. They repeatedly tried to warn the people of what was to come.

Many of the messages were not usually readily received. Today they would also be considered to be very negative. God’s Messages even when they were not what the people wanted to hear were always out of His Love and concern for their well-being. Make sure whatever you are doing that it is in the Will of GOD.

 

The Prophet Jonah’s second Commission

 

Nineveh was the prospering, luxurious capital city of the Assyrian Empire. The people of Nineveh had turned their back on God. Jonah was sent by God to warn Nineveh of what was to come. The first time Jonah disobeyed God and instead he fled to Tarshish. Well, during a fierce storm he was thrown overboard off the ship. Jonah knew that the storm was because of him. He actually told the mariners to throw him overboard. “And he said to them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea, so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know for my sake this great temptest is upon you…” Jonah 1

 

The mariners tried to keep steering the ship anyway but the storm was too fierce. They even cried out to the Lord and pleaded with Him to no avail… So the mariners had to eventually toss Jonah overboard. Well, when they did the sea stopped raging. Jonah was then swallowed up by a humongous big fish. This big fish had actually been prepared beforehand by God himself to transport Jonah. He vehemently prayed to the LORD while inside the fish. After three days and three nights inside the belly of this fish, it amazingly spat Jonah out miraculously upon the dry land… This time Jonah obeyed and went on to preach in Nineveh as God had told him to do.

 

This is what the LORD told Jonah to do;

“Arise go unto Nineveh , and preach unto it the preaching I have bid thee. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the WORD of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days journey.

And Jonah began to enter into the city a days journey, as he cried, and said. Yet forty days and Nineveh will be destroyed. ” Jonah 3

Nineveh had been warned by a reluctant Jonah of their forthcoming destruction. Jonah boldly preached to them in regard to their wickedness and the need to REPENT! Well, they finally repented! The people of Nineveh were spared.

 

However, once again years later, Nineveh again returned to their sins and wickedness. ( Learn more about him in the Book of Jonah)

 

 

You do not have to seek the approval of others when you have the approval of GOD!

 

So yes, we at times must let some people go. Not to simply abandon them but give them to the Lord. God can do so much more with them than we can. But know experience is not always the best teacher. You can learn what not to do by simply observing others. Some things can be avoided… Yes, there are always consequences for our choices. So choose wisely as you become wiser. Not everyone wants help or godly counsel. They often want you to serve them and their purpose.

 

 

However, we must continue on doing what the LORD “CALLS” us to do. Knowing when you truly LOVE GOD that in His time “He works all things together for our good.” Therefore always look to GOD first and not man/ woman. DAILY “Seek ye first HIS Kingdom and HIS Righteousness…”

 

GOD ALWAYS TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN!

 

The Prophet Nahum spoke doom again upon Nineveh

We know very little about “Nahum the Elkoshite.” But, we do know that he obeyed God and once again spoke judgment upon Nineveh. They had returned to doing what they had done before. They had resumed their normal sinful ways. And this time they did not repent. The great city of Nineveh was eventually destroyed.”...Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers I will hear no more.” Nahum 2

 

Be led by the Spirit of God

It is important to make sure that you are not just going along with the masses. You want to make sure that you are being led by the SPIRIT of GOD and staying on the ” Narrow Path! ” Take time to ” BE STILL & KNOW. “

” GOD is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies.

The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and will not acquit the wicked; the LORD hath HIS way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of HIS feet…” Nahum 1 ( Learn more about him in the Book of Nahum)

Be careful and mindul that you are not being molded into the present system of thinking and values of this world. Something to think about? Are you looking for approval? Are you standing up for the Word of God? Not in an argumentative way. Because the Word has its own built in defense. Do you really live thinking that Christ Jesus is going to return today?

 

Being a Christian is not a popularity contest. You will be overlooked, rejected, slandered, mistreated and misunderstood. Just like Jesus. However you will also be faithfully LOVED BY GOD and some others as well…

 

Are you really being led by the SPIRIT of GOD or by the masses? Well then, if GOD IS leading you, carry on because it is GOD who you are accountable to…

” And BE NOT conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and PERFECT WILL of GOD.” Romans 12

 

The Prophet Jeremiah

Jeremiah is known as one of the Lord’s greatest prophets.  His father Hilkiah was a priest. He was called by God even before the Lord formed him within his mother’s womb. The Lord had him to boldly speak to the people.   Jeremiah fluently and voraciously spoke to the kings as well as the people of God. His inexhaustible messages were about the Messiah to come and the covenant with God and His people. Jeremiah spoke to the pastors and told them of their responsibility to feed God’s sheep His Word. He also spoke to the false prophets about their false dreams and wickedness.

 

Jeremiah experienced much anxiety and turmoil during the (40) forty years he prophesied about God’s judgment to Israel and the world.  Jeremiah was well known as the Prophet of Doom. He also preached consolation, repentance and the hope of a better life in the Lord. The Lord also told Judah and Israel to REPENT! But they did not. He candidly spoke to them. “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding…” Jeremiah 3 Well this never happened.

“My Tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken; my children are gone forth of me, and they are not; there is none to stretch forth my tent anymore, and to set up my curtains.

For the pastors are become bruthish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered… Jeremiah 10

Well, they did not repent. Jeremiah continuously prophesied to them. The Shepherds caused the people to go astray and the people became lost to the ways of God. The land was filled with sin against God. Yet, God did not forsake them. But there were consequences. Israel was eventually taken into Babylonian captivity. King Nebuchadnezzar burned down the House of the Lord as well as the King’s palace down. (Learn more about him in the Book of Jeremiah.)

 

The people often resented Jeremiah for speaking forth TRUTH. The truth was not readily welcomed then nor is it readily welcomed now in this 21^st century. This is why so many calamaties are now happening all over the world.

 

JEREMIAH’S CALL & COMMISSION

Jeremiah was sent to root out, to pull down, to destroy, build and to plant.  This is why he was known as; ” The Prophet of Doom! “

” …SEE, I HAVE THIS DAY SET THEE OVER THE NATIONS AND OVER THE KINGDOMS TO ROOT OUT, AND TO PULL DOWN, AND TO DESTROY, AND TO THROW DOWN AND TO BUILD AND TO PLANT…” JEREMIAH 1

 

GOD is always speaking we must get better at listening. There is a reason for this Coronavirus pandemic & pestilence it has impacted the entire world in a multiplicity of ways… In Jerusalem for the very first time since it was built they closed the synagogue for worship due to the Coronavirus… It is important to PRAY and spend time daily with the Lord in His Word. Seek His Will & Way above all others. For in the LORD there is always HOPE! Yes indeed; GOD is speaking in these ” PERILOUS DAYS ” by HIS SON!

 

CHRIST JESUS APPEARS TO HIS DISCIPLES

Then opened HE their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.

And said unto them, “Thus it is written, and thus it behooved CHRIST to suffer, and to rise from the dead on the third day: AND THAT THE REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS SHOULD BE PREACHED IN HIS NAME AMONG ALL NATIONS, BEGINNING AT JERUSALEM.“

AND YE ARE WITNESSES OF THESE THINGS. ” Luke 24

Famine Of Righteousness

Worship goes far beyond, just having an emotional experience. It is during worship one can actually experience a closer spiritual encounter with the Lord. Worship includes adoration, exaltation, magnification, glorification and the giving of thanks to the Lord! Webster defines worship as; an extravagant respect admiration or devotion to an object of esteem; reverence paid to a divine being or supernatural power.

RESET!

Everyday is a precious gift from the Lord.  Your personal  daily devotion to the Lord  is important! God can meet you right where you are.  Regardless as to what is happening in this world or what is,  or is not going  in your life; GOD STILL  DESERVES  to be honored, praised, thanked & worshipped! He can help you meet the challenges that life presents. He can help you rise above them all.   Begin to live everyday starting now: ” TO GOD BE THE GLORY! ” 

 

God’s principles for life, living, His Church, marriage and the family as well as “True Worship” are continuously being abandoned.  God wants each of us to seek Him first. Everything that we will ever need we can discover in Him.  

 

GOD IS!

God is Omniscient therefore He knows all things spoken or unspoken. There is no fooling God.  If you think you can you are only fooling yourself. When you truly believe this you will begin to think and live differently. 

 

God is Omnipotent; meaning all power! God so deserves pure unadulterated worship & praise. God created us to worship Him. It is we who need Him. He did not program us like computers or make us to be robots.  He has made each of us uniquely different.  We have our very own temperament. It is out of His love and mercy that He allows us the freedom to choose to worship Him. This is not the same as being religious.  You can worship just about anything.  However, the true worshippers must worship God; “ In SPIRIT and in TRUTH. ”

 

God is and always will be eternally everlasting. He wants us to live a life of worship. We  are living in the midst of an invisible war zone.  The battle is not ours.  God is able to keep us in the midst of it. However, we must learn to seek Him daily and stay adorned in our spiritual armor. This is why each of us  need Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Have a spiritual feast. Daily partake in His Word!  Begin to really;  “lean & depend on Jesus.” For He wants us to live our lives to please Him. “ For though we live in the world we do not engage in war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world…” II Corinthians 10.

 

Ezekiel is a great example of a man that chose to live a life of worship and obedience to God.  This is not always easy. He was no doubt a “peculiar” man. He was a priest known for his integrity and purpose although he was carried away to Babylon captivity. He remained dedicated to God. It is a conscious choice to live apart from the world yet, remain within it. Despite what was going on about him, he lived what he preached, proclaimed and prophesied. Look about us and see all that is happening.  He lived a life centered around worshipping God. Today it is also so very important too that your main focus for life and living for the Lord become your main priority. Instead of just focusing only upon the here and now begin to look deeper.

 

This is why worship is so very important. “Be still and know.” When your life is built upon the “Solid Rock” principles of the Lord’s Word you will be able to endure and press onward.  Even in this day and time when much is going on, do not compromise your godly principles and values to be accepted. We must learn to TRUST GOD regardless of what happens. As children of God He still wants us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.” Proverbs 3.

 

Today we are currently experiencing a “famine of righteousness.”

 

One must only visit the corridors of scripture to see time and time again the consequences of what happens when the world, a nation, His Church, politicians, or a group of people ignores what God has to say. They often seek to conform to the latest trends. Ezekiel was willing to forego the praises and misunderstanding of God’s people. He did not receive a warm reception, nor was he welcomed or celebrated. Yet he moved all throughout the people serving the Lord.  They instead had chosen to accept and embrace the ways of the world.

 

Our devotion to the Lord must be more than talk. Sometimes it requires that we make grave spiritual sacrifices.  Such as time in personal devotion and more time with the Lord in His Word. We are to; ” Be in the world but not of the world…” We must at times forego the support of others. Less dependency upon being accepted by the masses and more focus on honoring God. Less time seeking to be understood  yet striving daily to understand the Lord and His  marvelous living Word. 

 

We should continually be drawing near to the Lord. 

 

Many are pressured to think in terms of giving sacrifices of material goods or money.  Often to the point some neglect to tend to their own home life.  Their place of worship has actually become a place to escape? To some their little kingdoms?  This is due to many church assemblies have become very material in regards to their constant concern for things for the building.  There is nothing wrong to want a nice place of worship.  But consider the cost before you build. Is it or will it be a continual burden you must bear. Not everyone is spiritually mature… Please do not continue to fleece the sheep of God… Depending on the assembly, often tithes are used  to determine one’s worth, status or their level of participation and influence…

 

Malachi is often used to enforce the Tithe.  It is important to study the Word to know what the Tithe was for and what it actually was…   Malachi  was the last Old Testament Prophet/Priest sent  to Israel by God.  He spoke strong rebukes to both the priests as well as to the people. They had faltered in their commitments to the Lord.  He called them to “REPENT!”  After Malachi there is a silence of 400 or more years.   God will make a way for us to do whatever He calls us to do. “…Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not…  Malachi 3 

 

Things in themselves are not bad.  And it is good to give! But, In some cases money has become some congregations primary focus.  Keep in mind; “God loves a cheerful Giver!”  

 

Seek daily the KINGDOM of GOD an HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

Does not the Lord say; “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will be added…” Matthew 6   Well this is true for the assembly of the Church as well.  When the Tabernacle which was a grand tent  was assembled, they carried it  from place to place. Notice all the things that were in the Tabernacle?  What they did?  What they did not do? What was not allowed?   There are 50 chapters devoted in the Bible to the Tabernacle.  17 in Exodus,  18 in Leviticus  13 in  Numbers,  2 in Deuteronomy. It was known to be a place  to gather together to worship & praise God.   It was dedicated as a special place set apart to honor our Lord God;  Yahweh!   

 

The main focus and top priority  was always to worship GOD! Think about it  when Solomon built the Temple.  All that he needed to build the  place of worship was already provided…   For hundreds of years there were no places of worship built  for the Church of God to assemble.  The Disciples and the Apostles built no places of worship…  Jesus built no place of worship.  It is your choice to build a place of worship. Therefore trust God!

 

” Know ye not that; Our bodies are the Temples of GOD! “

 

There has been a priority shift.  Many other things are now included in worship? Some places of worship are more like community centers.  Some of everything goes on in the name of the Lord!   It is important to know GOD and HIS WORD for yourself.  Focus more on Him rather than your issues. Allow Him to strengthen your faith and trust in Him. Think deeper upon the spiritual disciplines.  Our future and eternal life rest in the Lord.  We are each accountable to God for what we do.  Know what God requires of you.

“THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!”  

 

God speaks to His people in many ways.  

 

God never forgets those who are faithful!

 

The name Ezekiel means; God is strong or God strengthens! True success in a spiritual sense is not how the people respond to us, but it is how we respond to God! Ezekiel was called to an “obstinate and stubborn” group of people. We too are often called to share our faith live out loud God’s word, with unkind, ungrateful, disrespectful, rude, hard, harsh and spiritually abusive people…   Yes indeed know; “The wheat and the tares are growing together…” Yet, God Our Father has promised to; ” NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE US!”  He sees everything that is going on.   It is vitally important to develop an intimate personal relationship with Him.  Daily be led by the Spirit of God regardless as to what the majority is doing. ALL of His promises are true! ” GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU/US! “ The Lord wants us to share the Gospel regardless as to how we might be perceived, even today when we are today in this world are experiencing a “famine of righteousness.”

 

When studying the book of Ezekiel if you look closely, you will see just how closely it relates to what is going on in the world right now. Ezekiel genuinely wanted the people to understand who God is. He was sent to the children of Israel to remind them of God’s principles for life, living and worship. The children of Israel were not a nation who did not know God. They had just become “rebellious”. They had turned their back on God and instead embraced many of the ways of the world. Ezekiel went to great lengths to get their attention. For over two decades he wrote, preached, warned and pleaded with God’s people to return to His principles.

 

In reading Ezekiel one must not be so removed from him that he is thought of as a fictional character with an irrelevant message. To embrace the overwhelming genuine concern he exudes one must be daily adorned in their spiritual armor and open their spiritual ears and listen attentively. Ezekiel tremendously, ferociously and vehemently cries out as he prolifically expounds God’s Truth. Since he had been labeled as being “strange” the people were quite reluctant to listen.

Ezekiel wanted the people to return to God.  We too should want the people to return to God!
