The Nobody’s Perfect Club – Unlimited Excuses Part 1

The longer I live the more I realize how utterly important it is to develop an intimate personal relationship with the Lord. I have learned that when a teller is trained in the banking industry they are taught how to recognize the authenticity of currency. Therefore whenever a counterfeit bill is passed they are able to recognize it.

“Nobody’s Perfect Club!”

You want to know how to recognize and hear the voice of the LORD!

We live in a real world that is full of systems of deception created to distract us from the genuine purpose of life. Our life purpose is to glorify GOD ALMIGHTY.  Without the Holy Spirit as your navigator you will get towed right along.   This deception has further infiltrated the Church. It beckons those who are willing to make excuses for their shortcomings, to excuse self-gratification as a mere attribute to mankind’s imperfections. To immorally satisfy the carnal appetite to all who are willing to submit to the, well; “Nobody’s Perfect Club.”

This will only  erroneously teach you although, “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof;”  He doesn’t really know how to bless His children. Why is that? Because He intends for them to stay dependent on anything and everybody until they leave this world. Although they don’t believe blessings are just material, actual spiritual growth and development are optional. I warn you this will only enslave you to a life dependent upon sin.

God really has given us many liberties.  Know there are consequences for our choices.

We really often miss the point. You see God doesn’t force us.  He allows us all the freedom to choose. Instead many often choose to justify living a life were sin abounds. This gives us unlimited privileges in the “Nobody’s Perfect Club.” He did not make us to be robots. It is time out for playing games…    We are to daily  grow in His grace and sin  less.   Not simply  make excuses. These are some very serious; “Perilous Last days!”  Yes, He does still intend for us to respect Him as Father and Lord within our daily lives. Not in a legalistic manner. We serve an Omnipresent, Omnipotent  Almighty GOD! He wants us to enjoy healthy fulfilling  well rounded lives! Remember always;  “the earth is the LORD’S and the fullness thereof the world and them that dwell within it.  For He has founded it upon the seas, and established t upon the floods…” Psalm 24

Ministry must go beyond the walls!

The “Nobody’s perfect club” allows easy access to unlimited excuses. It has a plethora of earthly benefits. You can live any way you want, say anything you want, little or no study required. Listening to an occasional lecture or message may be required to help you with attendance kudos. Or just reading a few scriptures.  Listening not required just say amen when it gets too quiet. Just show up on Sunday? And act as you are happy? This Guarantees access to many  carnal fringe benefits I prefer not to mention. You may even receive a B.A. (born again) if you don’t rock the boat.  Come as you are and possibly stay as you are?  And yes your name placed on the membership role. You see we are saved by grace. That gives you a license to indulge yourself. After all “Nobody’s perfect.”

One caution, you may be persecuted or covertly disfellowshipped if you genuinely decide to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD of TRUTH.  But shun profane and vain babblings; for they will increase unto more ungodliness. “  II Timothy 2  Why? Because you are trying to be too perfect.

Please if you have truly accepted “Christ as your personal Savior” allow Him to really work within you and actually become  an integral part of your daily  life.  Allow Him to activate His Holy Spirit within your life.  HE CAN CLEANSE YOU FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS…  You can be content, happy and fulfilled in the Lord.  He can and will make a marvelous difference within your life. And also make spiritual deposits to your eternal account that will  yield a harvest of marvelous  spiritual, physical, and endless array of blessings.

Accept Christ Jesus into your heart

If you have not accepted JESUS as your SAVIOR & LORD; please DO,  “ACCEPT HIM NOW!”  Truly and earnestly  ask JESUS into your heart and life this very moment. Ask Him to forgive you for your sins because you want to make a  FRESH START!   You want to sincerely  REPENT!!!  (Meaning; COMMIT to  turn from your ways and the ways of  the world and turn your life over to GOD!)  &  SAY YES to GOD!!!  Because;  You really do want to change and   sincerely commit your life to GOD!

I assure you it will be a marvelous journey like no other. If you have grown slack in your commitment; (to GOD’s principles activated in your life) it is time to recommit! Getting serious has its price. So, I must warn you. There is a serious battle ahead of you.  When you do, it is important to know and expect, when you do this a lot of spiritual warfare will be launched against you. It wants to discourage you and make you conform.  But PRAISE GOD it is truly worth it!

GOD begins to manifest the Fruit of HIS SPIRIT within you. Spiritual strength grows as you grow up and exercise your FAITH & TRUST in the LORD!

GOD created us to live a life pleasing in His sight. Life is not a movie and Church is not a scene. Although it’s full of actors, it’s serious business. Things are not always as they appear. It is important to know we the people are GOD’S CHURCH! Heaven is HIS THRONE and the earth is HIS footstool!  Be ready!  Because; yes, you are in for some surprises. Don’t believe everything you hear.  Seek to believe the TRUTH!  God holds each of us accountable for what we know.  PRAY FOR DISCERNMENT! Please bear with me. You see I have been in Church all my life. ABBA FATHER, continues to grow me up  in His grace, knowledge understanding and wisdom… HIS astounding ETERNAL LOVE is glorious!  If this is not where you are you have no need to be offended.

Life is precious. “GOD IS not a respecter of persons!” Each day is an opportunity  to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord.  We can  reap and enjoy  these marvelous  spiritual  benefits.  Come what may,  it is your choice.  As you mature in the Lord you become increasingly aware that He is absolutely aware of your motives, actions and intents.  Therefore you don’t indulge in the mental games.  Your responses are not hasty but intentional.  Your desire is to facilitate and encourage genuine spiritual growth to help  mature the Body of Christ. You know that we have as children of God  a responsibility to give our omnipresent  Heavenly FATHER Honor!  “We are to be in the world but not of the world…”   To encourage, admonish and correct  one another with the Word in a healthy manner. As well as embrace it daily and live it out  in front of non believers as well. To get to know God and develop a personal ongoing intimate relationship with Him through Christ Jesus.

For  we have committed to be  HIS people!

Famine of Righteousness Part 2

Ezekiel models a godly lesson to the people

Ezekiel was a wise prophet. He went so far that he actually humbly acted out with great dramatization the need to be obedient. He personally modeled a thought provoking godly message to the people. To prove his point, he himself laid bound on his side facing a clay model of Jerusalem for 390 days. He ate a simple meal of wheat, barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt baked into bread cake weighing about 8oz, that was cooked on cows dung.

He then turned to his other side and lay there for another 40 days. This was an additional reminder to remind them of their 40 years spent wandering in the wilderness. Ezekiel went to great lengths to get their attention. He earnestly wanted them to return to the Lord. He even shared his vision of the corrupted Temple. They were experiencing a “famine of righteousness.”

There was absolutely no doubt that the “hand of the Lord” was upon Ezekiel. The Lord gave him graphic picturesque visions. The people however still simply refused to listen. Ezekiel personally experienced “The GLORY of the LORD” on many occasions. Over sixty times throughout the Book of Ezekiel he repeated “Then they will know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel was known for his strangeness. He took grave measures to demonstrate his dedication to the Lord.

The many prophets before him had also been often ignored. Their unfavorable messages were overlooked and thought of as negative. Yet despite the odds God kept, sustained and strengthened them. The Lord said to Ezekiel; “Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you…” He said “Son of man I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; and they and their fathers have been in revolt against me to this very day. The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn…”

The Lord told Ezekiel to speak HIS WORD to them whether they listened or not. Ezekiel was given a scroll to eat. As he ate it, he said “So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.” They simply just did not want to receive the message that Ezekiel presented to them. God’s Word will yield conviction but there is a savory lasting sweetness when digested. They could not see how they had allowed the world, bureaucratic politics and its foreign customs and ways into the Temple. Ezekiel was able to experience the “Glory of the Lord” because of His obedience.

GOD is so AWESOME!

Many of the ways of the world have nested themselves in the midst the Church of God

Today it is really no different, the world and society in which we live continuously attempts to embed its principles within the people of God. To make acceptable what God has said is not acceptable and to cloak and present itself as though one is practicing unconditional love. Yes, “God is Love”  but He is also a just God. According to Nahum; “The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, He will not acquit the wicked.” Deception is all about us. Today because of it we too are experiencing a “famine of righteousness.”

God’s principles for life and living are continuously put on the back burner. Ezekiel is such a good example because he had a real concern for the abuse that was taking place within God’s Temple. Sin was rampart among the people of God. Many of the leaders had simply lost their faith and were trying many alternative ways. They wanted the accolades of the people over the favor of God. Ezekiel was shown firsthand the “wicked and detestable things that they were doing.” They had banned together and plotted wickedness. They had embraced and accepted quite worldly practices and worship that was not acceptable to God. They had allowed the world into God’s Temple. The Glory of the Lord departed from the Temple.

True Worship

Pray all throughout worship. Manipulation does not move the Lord. Worship should never be about theatrics. There are many different modes of worship. Know this, God’s Holy Spirit is never not aware of what’s going on anywhere. This is true even if there are all types of emotional outbursts. Grief, sadness and the light or heavy normal burdens of life can bring forth sadness and tears. When this happens pray and place your focus upon the Lord. A sweet gentle release can come about. ” Rejoice in the Lord! Again I say rejoice! ” For our God is omniscient and therefore always knows about everything and everyone at all times. Peace, joy, meekness and self control are fruits of the Holy Spirit.

When deliverance is needed there will be all sorts of frantic emotional outbreaks. But this is not praise it’s pain, burdens and suffering… One must be led by His Holy Spirit to know and discern when and when not to respond. It is also a time to pray, focus and intercede for chains and depressive burdens to be broken and lifted… It is during deliverance we petition and evoke the infilling presence of the Lord to intervene and cast out doubt, fear, torment, pain, demonic influences, and anything that is not of Him… This is a time for deep intense fervent intercession. This is not always apparent to onlookers. For fervent prayer is also being in a focused prayerful state of mind… Always keeping in mind God is never far from us… YES, do praise and thank our LORD GOD when deliverance comes forth. For HE is the ONE who gets the GLORY!

It takes courage to “STAND!” upon the principles of GOD!

Yes, we can freely worship and praise the Lord. However, we should always be mindful that our worship & praise is to God! Our almighty fortress God is forever worthy of “True Worship.” We need to daily ask for the infilling presence of His Holy Spirit. Yes, this world is on a “slippery slope”. Yet, we can still depend on the Lord God to keep us safe even in the midst of an unstable world. Even when we know this world is experiencing a “famine of righteousness.” Therefore, stay on, the ” Narrow Path “ that has fewer travelers. It is very important to know that despite how things appear; “God is always ultimately in control.”

Stay focused upon the Lord; don’t become distracted

Ezekiel again is a wonderful memorable example. He displays how God may require you to do some things and give up some things. Some of the customarily practiced traditional behaviors should be abandoned. Being those things that distract from who God is; rather than welcome His presence. Worship should not be out of habit or simply a learned behavior. It is a natural expression of praise, thanks and appreciation towards God. From a carnal perspective many simply cannot comprehend this. They do not see that many hinderances have been adopted… When God reveals something to you respond or do not respond accordingly. Looking through the lenses of one’s spiritual eyes you can better grasp the spiritual significance of the action.

God always leaves a remnant of His people. He always has something better for us. There is always more with the Lord. He wants us to grow in His grace, wisdom and knowledge. He does not ever want us to be stuck in mediocracy. He wants to manifest and multiply the Fruit of His Spirit within us. This is why it is so important to know firsthand the Word of God for yourself. This way you are not just towed along with whatever is going on. Sometimes we are to observe. God’s Word is rich and powerful. It contains a plethora of lessons of disobedience, betrayal, rejection, spiritual warfare, power, and love. Christ Jesus became the Word wrapped in sinless flesh. He conquered sin in the flesh for us all. True victory is always found in the Lord and abiding within His principles.

God sometime requires us to do some seemingly strange things. Sometimes we are to observe and pray. When God’s Spirit is with you, you can expect to at times to be persecution, ridiculed, misunderstood or rejected. It is in seemingly hopeless situations that God is able to do a great work through you or to you.  We are to remain disciplined and alert.  There is nothing more important in life than your relationship with the Lord.

Benefits of the believers faith

Our faith, hope and trust must always be in the Lord. Jesus Christ’s life, death, crucifixion and resurrection were for a great purpose.  It is because of Him we have been bestowed with eternal life. It is by faith we walk in obedience to our professed salvation.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Life as a Christian comes with a plethora of benefits. As we embrace and implement the truth of His Word we spiritually grow. Hebrews 4 tell us, “For the WORD of GOD is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Each day is a precious gift from the Lord. We should always be able to find something to be thankful for.

We as believers are to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. This should be our first priority.  In the Lord we can forever strive and thrive! Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.  We are to always contend for the faith! Daily we have the opportunity to grow in His grace, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. God always has a personal interest in the lives of His children, even when there is a “famine of righteousness.”

HALLLELLLUJAH PRAISE GOD!

Living In An Upside Down World Part 1

Today we are living within an upside down world. In many instances what is wrong is embraced as right and what is right is embraced as wrong. This is why it is so very important that you get to know the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD firsthand.  Know it well for yourself intimately and personally. This way you will not be so easily towed right along with everything you hear and see.

Confronting false teaching

The Apostle Paul wanted to alert the Church to see how to recognize and confront “false teaching”. Paul wrote to the Church extensively because he was so concerned that so many were getting caught up with the bureaucracy and the traditions of man. Paul encouraged the Church to preserve, model, embrace and live out Christian principles in every area of their daily life. Today right now we too need to be mindful of these very same things. Many of the ways of the world have crept in and discreetly  attached themselves to God’s Church.

Quite often when one reads and visits the corridors of  Scripture they see the characters and situations as merely historical and sometimes fictional. This can often cause one to become far removed from the wealth of applicable practical wisdom endowed within the Scriptures. They will quite often  respond in an aloof manner to the lessons presented and overlook the priceless wisdom lessons intended.

The people, prophets, priests and kings of the Bible were real genuine people. They were from every facet of life with authentic issues no different than what we see today. God really is the same God who always was and always will be! He does not change His moral attributes, characteristics or standards to suit the masses. He adamantly declares; “I am the LORD JEHOVAH, I change not…”

Purpose of life

We have been created for His Glory. He is eternal; in Him through His Son Christ Jesus we who have accepted Him within our hearts as Lord and Savior have been given the gift of eternal life.

Time belongs to God. We operate within His time frame for us.  We have all the time we need to do and be whatever it is He has created each one of us to become. However short or long our time is upon earth  remains to be discovered…  We must look to Him  to discover  the way and means to accomplish our life’s purpose. This is why it is so very important to know His Word for yourself.

The Book of Ephesians is an excellent book to indulge your mind in for spiritual enlightenment.  There is a wealth of spiritual knowledge here  to glean from. The Church became embroiled in endless questions, arguments, politics and controversies that took them away from studying the Scriptures. We must be mindful that it is so important to not get side-tracked from the intended purpose. It is important to sincerely desire and ask to be filled with His Spirit in order to glean the true intended meaning of the Scriptures so we can rightfully divide and apply its intended purposes.

Seek God’s approval over the approval of others

Many strive for popularity, prestige, or to have followers and recognition rather than seek for God’s approval. These things within themselves are not bad, but we must know that man is fickle and inconsistently changes very easily. God is consistent and always right.  Therefore it is important to know that through the Lord we really have everything we will ever need. He really does know absolutely everything we all think, say do or do not do!

Although it may not be readily tangibly present. We can rest assure that God’s power is always accessible. We never become the power, we are simply given access via His will.  This is why we should say and desire; “Your will and Your way Lord.” Ephesians tells us “Jesus Christ has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight…” Ephesians 1. Ponder on this passage of Scripture for a while allow it to marinate. Go deeply into its contents to digest and  glean the multiplicity of intended benefits.

WOW! Yes, every spiritual blessing we need we have access through the Lord.  Let this reinforce within you the marvelous security and spiritual significance that rings forth. It says not some but all spiritual blessings are available in God. We must diligently seek after the Lord.  Not simply for things but for spiritual wisdom.  He has given us His Holy Spirit as the  indwelling teacher and Comforter

There are incredible benefits in knowing and having a personal intimate relationship with the Lord. These blessings are not always visible where one can see. Spiritual blessings far exceed the material blessings. There is an endless array.  But they are available and accessible in the eternal heavenly spiritual realm. This means that they are eternal. God chose us and we belong to Him. This all took place way back before any of us even ever  existed.

Our little finite minds cannot conceive the totality of God. We are just minute particles in His whole scheme of things.  No matter how small, large, visible or unseen it is all relevant and omniscient to Him. Without the Lord we are just walking breathing shaped formed dust.  But with Him our bodies becomes a temple where he resides.
