Prescription for How To Be Blessed

Did you know that a physician could write you a prescription for just about any type of medication? It could be for anything as slight as a minor headache. Perhaps you cannot sleep at night. Maybe you are depressed or just stressed out. Then again perhaps you need pain medication that will soothe you after major surgery. There’s nothing wrong with doctors or medicine. They are often used as tools in part of the Lord’s healing process. But they can’t heal your soul. We often say that God is a doctor in the sick room, a lawyer in the courtroom, He is water…God is much much more than we in our little finite minds can ever conceive! Do you want to be blessed and I mean really blessed? I want to share with you the prescription that will help you weather the tempestuous storms of life. I often recommend the 1st Psalms as a prescription to be blessed by. God’s Word actually is water to your soul when you truly thirst after righteousness. Doctors practice. God heals! God’s Word is the only sure thing in this world. I urge you please take a full dosage of His Word. It does wonders for the soul!

“Blessed is the man that walked not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners nor, sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

To be blessed refers to a deep peace, joy and contentment that only comes from God. True Godly counsel is rooted in scripture. When anyone encourages you or makes you comfortable in sin be careful. Misguided Christians can sometimes give ungodly counsel. John as Jesus’ forerunner did not continuously cry Repent! Repent! for no reason. When someone chooses to continue in sin don’t stand in his or her way. In your sincere attempts to help them there is a great chance they will only begin to blame you for their unhappiness. Remember them in prayer.

“But His delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law does he meditate both day and night. He shall be like a tree that is planteth by the rivers of water bringing forth fruit in His season. His leaves shall not wither but whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

God’s Word is the absolute truth. The Holy Spirit will lead guide and direct you when you sincerely desire to understand His WORD. You should find delight in God’s Word even it shows you that you are in error. Be thankful! The truth really does set you free! Allow His Word to quench your spiritual thirst. The tree that is planted close to the river has deep roots. Although the winds may toss it to and fro it can weather the storms of life. Faithfully allow His Word to flow through your heart. The Lord promises that in the proper season fruit will be brought forth. You will prosper in whatever you do.

” The ungodly are not so but are like the chaff that the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous and the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

The chaff is the stalk of the grain from which the kernels have been beaten out. Study God’s Word to the point that you are secure in your relationship with Him. Don’t just settle for what someone else has to say. Develop an intimate personal relationship with him. Once you are saved it is to righteousness. You are no longer a sinner. You have been declared righteous through the grace of God. Did you know that Christians are the saints of God? “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” II Corinthians 5:21. You are now a child of God! Your body is the temple of God He dwells within His children! We as His children are His Church. The Church is His Bride! Sinners won’t be able to stand in the congregation of the righteous. Don’t be conformed to the ways of the world! Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. This will allow you to prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. God is totally aware of everything that goes on. God tells us to avoid those who cause contentions. God will teach you how to guard your heart. Let Him be your defense. What is hidden in the dark will eventually come to the light. We live in a time when evil is called good and good is called evil. Don’t fret because of evil doers. Just know in God’s time he will take care of the ungodly. Just know there are no ungodly people in heaven.

God is our Creator. The world is our temporary place of habitation. It is literally a cesspool of sin. God has given us His Word that has every prescription to heal whatever ails your soul. If you need guidance he will lead you. Just trust Him with all your heart. Jude tells us to contend for the faith. Sodom and Gomorrah really were destroyed because of their immorality. God is able to keep you from falling. Did you know that with God nothing is impossible?

Just know that there is nothing new under the sun. Noah and his family were provided an ark for safety during the flood. When Moses was still just a little babe God provided a basket that delivered him to safety. He lived in the palace for 40 years this prepared him to lead God’s people. The Lord’s presence in the form of a cloud guided Moses when he led the children of Egypt in the wilderness. David slew Goliath with a few smooth stones. Ravens fed Elijah. Jesus fed over 5,000 with a two fish and five loaves of bread. The disciples lacked nothing! This is just a few of the plethora of examples in the scriptures that illustrate that God will take care of you. Don’t’ you want to be blessed?

Jesus is preparing a place for us after we leave here where we will live with Him forever. I recommend you begin to make it a point to allow God’s will to be done in your life. Get to know Him now don’t let Him be a stranger. Especially if you plan on living with Him eternally! Did you know your life belongs to Him? Do you think you are fulfilling His purpose for your life? What we do with our life is our gift to Him!

God’s children are supposed to be the light of this dark sinful world. We must stop compromising. It only takes a little light to dispel darkness. I encourage you to feast on the delights of His Word. Don’t just read for the sake of reading. Read to satisfy whatever longing your soul craves. Commence to praise Him everyday and seek His direction! Allow the Holy Spirit to prescribe a daily prescription of His Word. It is guaranteed that you will be blessed if you meditate on His Word day and night. By the way don’t forget to not walk in the council of the ungodly.

Christ Jesus and John the Baptist

Did you know that John wrote the book of John so that you would believe that “Jesus is the Christ!” The book of Luke starts out expounding on the joyful events that surrounded the birth of Jesus. Luke also tells us how Elizabeth’s unborn baby who was John the Baptist leaped in her womb. This took place at Elizabeth’s home when she was greeted by Mary while she was pregnant with Jesus. The Bible says; “ Elizabeth was immediately filled with the Holy Spirit.” Elizabeth told Mary. “Blessed are you among women and the child that you bear…..” many others shared in her joy. 

 

The Ascension of Christ Jesus! 

God the Father openly expresses how He was well pleased with Jesus! When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, heaven opened and the Spirit of God descended upon Him in the form of a dove. Jesus’ birth, life, crucifixion, death and resurrection was all for us! This is why we can have fellowship with His Holy Spirit. Do you know that Jesus wants to be the joy of your strength? Jesus Enjoyed Saving us! Do you know what joy means? It means to have a sense of well-being and gladness.

 

Jesus endured many unpleasant experiences. Between the time of Jesus’ earthly birth and His crucifixion many events took place. Jesus was raised in Nazareth. Nazareth was thought of as a place where nothing good could come out of. But, the Bible says “the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him.” It says that Jesus was obedient to His earthly parents. He was also obedient to His Heavenly Father. In spite of all the things that were going on around Jesus the presence of the Lord’s joy surrounded Him. Our Joy in Jesus is not contingent on someone or what’s going on around us. When you truly know Him as your Savior and Lord you too can experience unspeakable joy!

 

Luke ends describing  Jesus Christ’s beautiful  Ascension.  Gloriously rising into Heaven “He lifted up His hands and blessed” His disciples! The Bible says that they worshipped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.  In spite of what was going on about Jesus the presence of God’s joy was always  with Him.

 

 

The Joy of the Lord allows you to soar above the noise of the world!

Joy and Music are two wonderful gifts from God. We are able to express our inner feelings through them. Jesus did not die for us to live life unhappy, discontented and in bondage to sin. My wise Mother always told me “do not let people stop you from being who you are; because of who they are.” God really does have a better way for us to live. Jesus does not want you to have a yoyo existence. He wants you to have a consistent life.

 

GOD’S joy will give you the melodic ability to soar like an eagle above suffering, covetousness, jealousy, false accusations and mistreatment. Did you know that eagles are committed to their mate for life? Have you ever noticed how they can sit contently on a rock? While seemingly idle they are being internally refreshed and strengthened. Did you know that Jesus is a solid Rock? Nehemiah tells us, Jesus wants to be the joy of your strength. He wants His true believers to live out their faith and daily life in the presence of God.

 

Joy in Jesus will give you the ability to “Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”    Galatians 5 Jesus yoke is easy and His burdens are light. He even tells us if you are even insulted because of His name, that you are blessed! That the Spirit of God will rest upon you! God is so awesome! He is truly worthy of our praise!

 

Do you know what happens when Jesus is really not the center of your Joy? Do you know what happens when you do not really worship Him in Spirit and in Truth? You cannot manipulate or orchestrate the Spirit of the Lord! Have you ever wondered why things turn out the way they do sometimes? Revelations 3 says; “What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.” He also says, “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my Word and have not denied my name…”

 

 

There is VICTORY in CHRIST  JESUS! 

Did you know that when you are obedient to God He will take care of those who oppose you?  That is if we are standing upon HIS TRUTH!  You can not curse what God has blessed! Halllelllujah Jesus!!!  You do not have to hem, haw and fight with anyone. But you do have to STAND upon  GOD’S WORD!  It is very important to keep in mind that absolutely nothing gets by God.

 

It is a reality that in life you will always be faced with some type of trouble.  We live in a Spiritual Warzone.  But the battle is not ours.  Keep  yourself adorned daily  in your Spiritual Armor. “Draw nigh to GOD and HE will draw nigh to you!”

 

Just know God will use any trouble or trial  to strengthen your character, faith and trust in Him! By remaining focused you can still experience His Joy.   However you must  actually BELIEVE,  TRUST & exercise YOUR FAITH in  GOD!   “But without Faith it is impossible to please  HIM;  For  he that cometh to GOD must believe  that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM!”   Hebrews  11

 

You can have joy knowing the Lord in His time will reward you  and reward everyone  else for what they do.  With GOD’S help we can overcome evil WITH GOOD! Whether it is good or evil HE knows…   We serve an omniscient God! Isaiah 61 even says that God will give you “The oil of joy for mourning. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That they may be called trees of righteousness ….. Everlasting Joy shall be theirs!”

 

Do you really know who Jesus is? Do you really want to be made whole? Do you really want to experience His Joy? Begin seriously getting to know Jesus for yourself!  Spend time with the LORD in HIS WORD! Ask Him to give you today and every day, daily bread from heaven. Begin to put your trust and hope in God and not man.

 

The JOY  of the LORD is your strength!

“There is no greater Joy than to know that His children are walking in truth!” III John 1.   GOD knows when we are really walking in truth!   Commit to  begin to walk in Truth!  You will be able to experience God’s Joy regardless as to what is going on in the world.  Don’t follow after the masses. Follow Christ Jesus!   Remember He spoke everything into existence in Heaven and in earth.   He came to the earth and overcame sin, death and the grave so we could live better lives.  He rose from the grave with ALL POWER! 

 

Don’t compromise what  you is know is right  regardless as to what someone else says or does… The truth really does set you free! When Jesus returned to the Father He left His disciples with these words; “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete………” God really does have a better way for us to live.

US =Us!

Do you know Jesus really is coming back?   JESUS IS COMING BACK FOR HIS CHURCH!   Sincerely ask Him into your heart today.  Truly  having the LORD within your life will make all the difference in the world.  Jesus wants to walk with you each and everyday.

 

JESUS is able to  present you faultless.  HE CAME TO EARTH TO SAVE US! “Now unto HIM THAT IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU from falling and to present you before HIS glorious presence without fault and with great joy!”   Jude   Praise God!  &  Thank You Lord!  Begin to  live each day; ” TO GOD BE HE GLORY! ”
