~ Cleansing us from sin is the business of the Holy Spirit ~

~ Cleansing us from sin is the business of the Holy Spirit ~

SALVATION is beautiful. However, as believers none of us are exempt from sin.  We are all “SAVED” by GOD’S grace. But what makes us  different  is we as believers have been given the gift of God’s precious  Holy Spirit that dwells within us. We are to ask God to fill us whenever necessary.

Our body is a Temple where His Holy Spirit, His Comforter resides.  His Spirit is the keeper and restorer of our souls.  And the Holy Spirit has cleansing power and  is able to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. “I  AM THE TRUE VINE, AND MY FATHER IS THE HUSBAND MAN.  EVERY BRANCH IN ME that beareth not fruit He taketh away. AND EVERY BRANCH THAT BEARETH FRUIT, HE PURGETH IT, THAT IT MAY BRING FORTH MORE FRUIT.    NOW YE ARE CLEAN THROUGH THE WORD WHICH I  HAVE SPOKEN UNTO YOU.  ABIDE IN ME, AND I IN YOU…” JOHN 15

Christ Jesus has imputed His righteousness to us. There is genuine grace, joy, peace, security & significance in the Lord. For this we can be thankful.  It is important to make God a priority.   For He can keep us on the Narrow Path.  It is the road less traveled.  There is much going on in the world today.  Make sure you set aside some time with the Lord in His Word and allow Him to direct your path.

“We are to be in the world but not of the world.”

And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove  what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”   Romans 12

GOD KNOWS HIS OWN!

We as believers  learn to sin less as we daily  “Walk in the Light.”  God’s Word is more than able. “Thy WORD is  a Lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path. I Have sworn, and I will keep thy righteous judgments.”  Psalm 119  We are without excuse.  For God is always willing and ready to help us in any and every situation. Therefore, we should readily REPENT whenever we realize that we have sinned.  For sin keeps us separated from God. This is true if it is by commission or omission.   We are to actually embrace and daily live by His Word as His people.

“Draw nigh to GOD and HE will draw nigh to you!”

We, God’s  people  from all over the world who have truly accepted Christ Jesus into our hearts as our Lord and Savior make up God’s universal Church.   There are many places of worship throughout  the world where we can gather together and worship, thank  and praise God.  God knows whenever our worship is sincere. Worship is a time to recognize GOD for for who HE is, and what HE means to us.  A sacred time  to reverence HIM!!!

God has only (1) one CHURCH. We should  always honor God and “Worship  Him in Spirit and in TRUTH!”  Know that God is forever omnipresent. Therefore, we can call upon our Lord and Savior Jesus to help us at anytime and anywhere.  He is our Almighty  Sovereign God,  and He is omnipresent.  “What a mighty GOD we serve!” We know not the hour or the day?  However, we are to daily live as though we are expecting Christ Jesus to return at any time.

We do not demand  GOD to do whatever we want.

We can pray (talk to GOD) wherever we are 24/7.  Keep in mind His Holy Spirit can keep and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore, we should always approach God in a respectful manner. Such as: “Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name…”  For God is not a man nor a  genie.  As God, we should always reverence Him. We are to daily exalt God!  Each day is an opportunity to build an ongoing, personal intimate, up close  transparent relationship  with Him.  God already knows what we are going to say or what we all think. Therefore, we do not simply demand Him to do whatever we ask. But as men, women and children of God we are to share, preach, teach, proclaim and daily  live out loud His Word!   He is our Creator & Maker. We can always & forever trust  God and His Word. For God has promised to “Supply all of our need according to HIS riches in Glory by Christ Jesus!” Philippians 4

Unbelievers are encouraged to get to know GOD

As for the unbelievers who have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are to encourage them to embrace the Truth of God’s Word. But we must first believe HIS WORD ourselves.  We are to demonstrate our faith and belief in God by the manner in which we live and approach life.  For those who oppose the Word we are to be living examples.  We do not have to argue or force GOD’S WORD upon anyone. However, we should know  that The WORD of GOD is HIS infallible  TRUTH! ” In  God we have been given much liberty.  But we are also accountable to Him.  We have a responsibility to the LORD to be a daily reflection of Him to the unbelievers of this world.

The Nobody’s Perfect club – Unlimited Excuses Part 2

Seek GOD first  before everything!

GOD really is omniscient! I still can’t quite grasp why many really don’t believe. God really does hear all and see all we do.  That includes absolutely ALL OF US, everywhere all over the world! If we did, it would eliminate a lot of the charades and manipulations and cliques. GOD IS REAL!

GOD has only ONE CHURCH!

Remember, “seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness… “ will really add all you need in this life. But always know you can not manipulate God. He is not like a genie. Yes, He is Omnipresent. But He is not at our every beckon call. He does not answer or respond at our command. We are all beneath HIM…. Remember earth is HIS footstool. It should be our desire for His Will to be accomplished within each of us. We are all; at His mercy! And yes, He knows when we are truly seeking Him first.

God is patient loving and kind… He is also a God of wrath. He is giving HIS CHURCH and this world time to get itself together. CHRIST JESUS really is coming back for “HIS CHURCH without spot or wrinkle. We are supposed to live as though we are expecting JESUS to return at any time? In this we can be confident. Many Believers as well as unbelievers are transitioning out of this world daily. You as a believer can be certain of your final destination.

Get right with GOD!

Those of us who still remain when Jesus returns will be caught up to meet Him in the air. “For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel and the trump of GOD and the dead in CHRIST shall rise first. Then we which are alive shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thessalonians 4.

GOD really does have us all and everything under His control. What do you mean? He is our sovereign Lord! Almighty God is omnipotent! Absolutely nothing anywhere in this world gets by Him. Not one miniscule single iota. Remember everything was spoken into existence through Christ Jesus! Above Him is no other. He has given us countless examples.

The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew is a wonderful example. It really does contains a wealth of knowledge. Jesus discusses a multiplicity of issues here.  He deals with being Blessed, life, sin, death, persecution, taking oaths, adultery, divorce, enemies and so much more….  You will find that these same issues are prevalent today. Ponder all the marvelous blessings here! “The TRUTH will set you free. “Blessed are…” Take some time and read and digest  this in Matthew 5.

Know GOD and HIS WORD for yourself!

The WORD of God contains precious invaluable instructions. We need the valid honest authentic no nonsense spiritual training found in His Word.  For His Word  gives us marvelous examples to help us from falling prey to non-biblical unspiritual teachings. It even tells how the “Blood of Jesus” can cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  God has given us His Holy Spirit as an excellent  guide and teacher to lead us to all TRUTH! His Holy Spirit is our Comforter, to lead us to all TRUTH!

The majority in HIS Church are you and Christ Jesus. He is the; “Head of His Church!” If you don’t stand for Jesus you will fall for anything. Know GOD and HIS WORD for yourself! His WORD will equip you to better discern truth from error. Remember that bank currency I talked about. Jesus stresses the importance of God’s way being the best way.

You can be or become PERFECT in the LORD!

Don’t allow anyone to make withdrawals from your spiritual account. (By the way nobody is perfect in the normal sense. ) “For it is in HIM we live and move and have our being…”  Acts 17 But don’t forget. The Bible is not talking about flawlessness, It is talking about being PERFECT (meaning COMPLETE) in our LORD &  CHRIST  JESUS! “Be ye therefore PERFECT,   even as YOUR FATHER which is in Heaven is PERFECT!”  Matthew 5 God would not tell us to do something that we are unable to do.  Learn how to control your tongue! Apostle Peter and all the Apostles all teach adamantly;  “We ought to OBEY GOD rather than Man /Woman.” Acts 4

Give God His place within your life. RESET your thinking and REPENT! “PRAY without ceasing” and take PRAISE BREAKS; all throughout your day. This is how you stay connected to the Lord!

THANK YOU ABBA FATHER for YOUR MARVELOUS HOLY SPIRIT & COMFORTER. Know that nothing or no one can separate you from the LOVE of GOD unless you allow it.

Becoming perfect in the Lord is possible…”  ABBA FATHER, THANK YOU for  the making us PERFECT IN YOU! “These are important things to know and holdfast. It is an ever growing spiritual process. We are, “forever becoming” unto the Lord calls us home.   Each day we have the opportunity to grow in GOD’S genuine endless eternal love and grace… The POWER of THE WONDER WORKING BLOOD  of CHRIST JESUS  yields invaluable spiritual dividends for those who learn to earnestly CALL  and TRUST HIM as SAVIOR and LORD.

Oh what a wonderful SAVIOR!

What’s a Savior? Oh! He helps us from allowing  the power of sin to rule within our daily lives. He continuously shapes and molds us in His image.  He loves us, forgives us and strengthens us as we faithfully digest, embrace and implement HIS WORD within our lives each day.   He walks  & talks with us and keeps on the Narrow Path that leads to Eternal Life in Heaven. In the LORD you can be confident.

There is power in being obedient to God. Meekness is power under control. God is omnipotent! And therfore we access power through His Holy Spirit to do His will. We never become the power. This is why we all need Christ Jesus.

Spend quality one on one time with the Lord in HIS WORD. Your life truly can be transformed through Christ Jesus. You will live and think differently. GOD will never leave nor forsake us. He also keeps all His promises. He can impute His righteousness to you. He can save you by HIS grace!

“WHAT A FRIEND!”

CHRIST JESUS is a FRIEND like no other! None can compare.

Let nothing separate you from HIS LOVE! Get busy discovering that having God in your life is really is all about. GOD brings purpose to our lives everyday. God is forever faithful! Know without doubt in these perilous last days;  “JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY THE TRUH AND THE LIFE!”  So, don’t relinquish the spiritual deposits only God can provide, for membership in the “Nobody’s perfect club.” Don’t follow the crowd.

Finally brethren farewell, BE PERFECT, Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the GOD Of PEACE shall be with you…”  II Corinthians 14

GOD’S WORD is our necessary essential spiritual food for our mind, body & souls. Each day is a day to get better and be better. Praise and thank God for each day is a precious Gift from HIM. God will never tell us to do anything that goes against HIS WORD. May you rise each morning to hear GOD’S VOICE within your heart!

Strive and thrive daily to become “PERFECT” in the LORD!

ABBA FATHER, WE DAILY RISE TO BLESS & THANK YOUR HOLY & DIVINE NAME. YOUR KINGDOM COME YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH A IT IS IN HEAVEN! THANK YOU FOR OUR DAILY BREAD YOUR LIVING WORD!

For this we can rejoice and say; “THANK YOU HALLLLELLLUJAH!!! ”

Our Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent GOD

~ JESUS! JESUS!! JESUS!!! ~

WE SERVE AN OMNIPRESENT, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT GOD!
GOD IS OUR CREATOR & MAKER. THE EARTH IS HIS FOOTSTOOL. HIS THRONE IS HEAVEN. AND OUR BODIES ARE HIS TEMPLE WHERE HIS HOLY SPIRIT/HIS COMFORTER RESIDES. WE HIS PEOPLE ARE HIS CHURCH!

Who is CHRIST JESUS? “in HIM we have redemption through HIS BLOOD, EVEN THE FORGIVENESS of sins.

Who is the image of the invisible GOD, the first-born of every creature. For by HIM all things were created that are in Heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions, or principalities or powers ALL things were created by Him and for HIM.

And HE is before all things and by Him all things consist. and He is the Head of the Body, The CHURCH, who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in all things HE might have the pre-eminence.” Colossians 1

Earth is GOD’S Footstool

This is what the LORD says about HIS FOOTSTOOL

“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?” Isaiah 66

Did you know GOD is even greater than the heavens. Everything was spoken into existence through HIS Living Word Christ Jesus!

Remember this earth where we live is the Lord’s footstool!

Yes, we can gather together in the many places of worship. It is truly wonderful to want to worship & praise the Lord!  Do welcome the presence of GOD all around you. Yes do, congregate together to worship, pray & praise the Lord. Make sure wherever you assemble is safe… But know that this is not where GOD lives. We who are believers are to live a life of worship. Know that HIS HOLY SPIRIT is present everywhere. There is nowhere that GOD is not. When you really believe this you will live, be and think differently. As a matter of fact GOD has created us to daily worship HIM. Worship continues in Heaven.

“AND YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!”

There is much that has crept in amidst GOD’S CHURCH that is NOT of HIM! “The WHEAT AND the tares are growing together.” MATTHEW 13  PRAY FOR DISCERNMENT!

KNOW GOD lives within the Hearts of HIS PEOPLE who are HIS CHURCH!

God is infinite and immeasurable

It is important to know that God is beyond infinite! He is so much greater than our little finite minds can ever totally conceive. Whatever your perception of GOD is; He is so much greater. We cannot minimalize God or reduce Him to our human comprehension. But we can get a better understanding of who He is through His Word!

GOD is omnipresent and HE cannot be restricted to any one place. No one can contain GOD! For He is absolutely illimitable and without boundaries. He is extensively inconceivable and immeasurable.

Heaven is HIS Throne

This is what the LORD says about HIS THRONE:

“The LORD is in HIS Holy Temple, the LORD’S throne is in Heaven: HIS eyes behold, HIS eyelids, try the children of men/women. Psalm 11

GOD’S THRONE IS HEAVEN!

GOD is incorporeal. HE is not human flesh. HE IS A SPIRIT! His throne is not akin to a big literal chair as we deem fit for royalty. The throne represents God’s supreme sovereignty. Here is where HIS Holy Power and Authority are divinely evident. Heaven itself is the LORD’S THRONE.

“But I say to you, Swear not at all neither by Heaven; for it is the LORD’S throne; Nor by earth; for it is HIS footstool; neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the Great King… “Matthew 5

“…Behold I stand at the door and knock. if any man/woman hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him/her, and will sup with him/her, And he/she with Me. To him/her that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with MY FATHER in HIS THRONE. He/She that hath an ear, let him/her hear what the SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES.” Revelation 3

GOD is always available. You just have to be willing to seek HIM!

Christ Jesus is the Son of God

CHRIST JESUS IS GOD THE FATHER, ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. He came to earth from HEAVEN: and was born of the Virgin Mary within a body of sinless flesh. HE IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD. “IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. THE SAME WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM; AND WITHOUT HIM WAS NOT ANYTHING MADE THAT WAS MADE…” John 1

CHRIST JESUS overcame sin in the flesh for us. To demonstrate His glorious Love and Power to the powers and principalities that be. To His Church as well as this world. He lived a sinless life. Yet, He was unjustly disrespected, mistreated and persecuted. By those He came to help! Then He was mercilessly beaten, crucified and died upon the cross and was buried… Yet, He arose from the grave with ALL POWER and ascended into Heaven in His glorified body. He is now in Heaven upon His throne. As believers, His Holy Spirit resides within our hearts.

Our Body is HIS Temple

This is what the LORD says about our bodies as Temples

“Know ye that ye are the Temple of GOD, and that the SPIRIT of GOD dwelleth in you. If any man/woman defile the Temple of GOD, him/ her shall GOD destroy, for the Temple of GOD is Holy, which temple ye are…” I Corinthians 3

It is important to know that if you are a believer and have truly accepted Christ Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior; Your body is a Temple. Therefore it behooves you to think about this on a deeper level. God wants to be a part of every area of our lives. But it is your choice?

“And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? for ye are the Temple of the Living GOD; as God has said, I WILL DWELL IN THEM, AND WALK IN THEM AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. Wherefore, COME OUT, FROM AMONG THEM, AND BE YE SEPARATE, saith the LORD AND TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING; AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU, AND BE A FATHER UNTO YOU, AND YE SHALL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, saith the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.” II Corinthians 6

We live in the world but not forever

Yes we are in the world. But we are not to be as the world. Many of the ways of the world have nested themselves among the CHURCH of GOD. It is important to always keep in mind that we “The People of GOD” are HIS CHURCH! Not the building. There are many different places of worship all throughout the world. Some are deeper into the Word of God than others. Some are quite steeped into their denominational & non denominational doctrinal beliefs and practices. This is why it is so very important to know the WORD of GOD for yourself.

Earth is not our final destination. We will each live throughout eternity with GOD or without GOD! If you desire to live in Heaven it is important to know that JESUS CHRIST is the only way to Heaven. HE IS GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON… There is no other way for HE is the ONLY DOOR. He is also Manna meaning; Spiritual Bread from Heaven. He can OR will feed our mind, body & souls. But, it is your choice? He is God’s Amazing Living Word! Know today without doubt where you will live throughout eternity.

“…And Jesus said unto them , I AM the BREAD of LIFE; he that cometh to Me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.” John 6

“…Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM the Door of the sheep. All that came ever before Me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them. I AM the Door; by Me if any man/woman enter in, he/she shall be SAVED and go in and out and find pasture. John 10

GOD knows where everyone all over the world lives and why! There is nothing that He is not aware of past, present or future about anyone. Therefore wherever you are you can reach out to HIM. “Draw nigh to GOD and He will draw nigh to you…” James 4

Where is God?

GOD IS EVERYWHERE! ABOVE THE LORD THERE IS NO OTHER!

For HE is our Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent, GOD!

As long as GOD allows us to remain on HIS earth there is more to experience & learn. Each day is a day to grow closer to the Lord. To truly know Love is to know GOD for; “GOD IS LOVE!” And a part of HIS LOVE is correction… GOD’S LOVE IS ETERNAL and it lasts through ETERNITY.

“Live Out Loud The GOSPEL!”

The Apostle Paul gives A Message from the LORD on “MARS HILL”

Ponder and meditate upon this;

“…God made the world and all things therein, seeing that HE is LORD of Heaven and earth dwelleth not in Temples made with hands.

Neither is worshipped with mens/women’s hands, as though HE needed any thing, seeing HE giveth to all, life, and breath and all things,

And hath made of one blood all nations of Men/Women for to dwell on the face of the earth, and hath determined the times appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

That they should seek the LORD, if haply they might feel after HIM, though HE be not far from any of us!

For it is in HIM we live, and move and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also HIS-offspring… ” ACTS 1

Know who you are in the LORD!

Spiritual Food For Thought & Spiritual Growth! 1

~ SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR THOUGHT! & SPIRITUAL GROWTH! 1 ~

~ “IF you have any encouragement from being united with CHRIST, IF any comfort from HIS LOVE, IF any fellowship with The SPIRIT, IF any tenderness and compassion, then make my JOY complete by being like-minded, having the same LOVE, being one in Spirit & Purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others!” Philippians 2 ~ WORD FOR TODAY! ~

~ THOUGHT FOR TODAY! ~

The real purpose of life is to daily draw closer to the LORD. To diligently seek HIS WILL & HIS WAY above everything & everyone. We know not what tomorrow may bring? But we can have complete confidence in the Lord as we grow in His Grace & Love.

We can build a strong firm foundation upon the Word of the Lord! Believing His Word and embracing His principles in our daily life are key. As we Trust Him we walk by Faith. We also continuously grow in His Grace. His wisdom, knowledge, love  and peace will manifest and multiply within us.

Here in Philippians we find the Apostle Paul giving us further insight into what is very important. Spiritual unity was the desired goal. GOD knows where each of us are coming from. HE KNOWS why we do what we do or do not do. His Word teaches us that; “Whatever you DO, DO it as unto The LORD!”

Sometimes we as Believers need to show a contrast to whatever the world is doing. Many have conformed.  God’s Word is being fulfilled right before our very eyes.  Know this; “the wheat & the tares are growing together.   It is GOD who will eventually do the separating. Christ Jesus is coming back for His Church. Nowadays it can be hard to distinguish on a surface level between the world & GOD’S CHURCH.  Therefore  PRAY for increased DISCERNMENT!

WE MUST DAILY WALK BY FAITH

It is not the broad crowded road that leads to the LORD but the NARROW PATH where there are fewer travelers.  Remember; It was the majority that opted to kill CHRIST JESUS.   Many of the  religious leaders were spiritually blind and even  joined together with some of the worldly leaders in their attempt to control and hinder Him.  They were threatened because He did not comply to their ways. Many simply sat on the fence. Notice how JESUS was  misunderstood, mistreated, persecuted as well as rejected…   All along He knew exactly  what was going on. God is so amazing.  Jesus was never not GOD! He always had the power to overcome what was happening to Him. Yet He remained humble, faithful and loyal to the will of our Heavenly Father.

It is important to be aware of whatever is happening all around you wherever you are.  For we are living in a spiritual war zone. As we walk by faith, we are to stay daily adorned in the Spiritual Armor. It is  GOD we worship led by His precious Holy Spirit! We are  always supposed to “WORSHIP  THE LORD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!” whenever and wherever we worship.  It is marvelous and comforting  to know we daily serve the  Almighty Omniscient God!

Humility means at times taking a back seat. Humility means at times others will misunderstand you. Humility means sometimes we have to wait.  Humility also means you will have to take a stand. While we are waiting we can acquire more patience. Patience is a virtue few understand.  Yes, sometimes you will have to encourage yourself.  But know also God asssures us; “For where two or three are gathered together in My Name; I am in the midst!”  Matthew 18  God is forever faithful!  Know GOD keeps all His promises. We must resist responding hastily and learn to trust God. For He will lead us all the way as well as, “supply all your need according to HIS riches in GLORY by CHRIST JESUS.”    Philippians 4.  Truly, God is our forever Good Shepherd!

When we compare ourselves to JESUS we ALL fall short! Therefore there is always room for improvement.  It is only by HIS GRACE we are SAVED! Each day is an opportunity to grow in His grace, wisdom, knowledge nd understanding.  As we spend time with the GOD in HIS WORD and embrace and implement HIS TRUTH within our daily lives we become stronger. Our faith & trust in Him is also strengthened.  Our desire  should always be to please Him and daily seek His Will and His Way above the ways of this world. For this world is on a slippery slope.

Humility is not a position of weakness. Yet, many will  often mistake humility for low self esteem. It is a position of strength. It is a position of self control. Yes, a place of meekness.  It is always important to seek the approval of GOD over that of man/woman.  Many live for others to validate them. DO NOT let the world determine your fate or your lifestyle. Live each day before, “An Audience of One,” knowing that GOD is everywhere you are. You can be certain of GOD’S CALL upon your life as you walk in accordance to HIS WORD. For; “It is a LAMP unto our feet and a LIGHT unto our PATH.”  HE will never lead any of us to do anything that goes against HIS WORD! This also why it is so very important to know God and His Word for yourself. We can be certain of  God’s marvelous omnipresence.  For He will never leave nor forsake us.

THANK YOU LORD for YOUR LIVING WORD JESUS CHRIST & YOUR HOLY SPIRIT YOUR COMFORTER! ~

~ Thoughts to Ponder ~

We as believers CANNOT follow the ways of this world and live a life that is pleasing to the LORD! It really is not possible nor logical. Take a few moments or more of your time daily and meditate upon the WORD of GOD! Be encouraged, convicted if warranted and also inspired to keep moving forward growing in HIS Grace! HIS WORD is necessary Spiritual Food for our souls. It refuels, refreshes and revives us to live for HIM! Stay connected to the LORD and “PRAY without ceasing” all throughout your day!

We the people are HIS Church. We are supposed to be the LIGHT of this world… take time periodically and see if you are on the Narrow Path that leads to Him or the broad road that leads to destruction… Get right with GOD! Whenever necessary; REPENT & REFOCUS! Regularly take spiritual baths in HIS WORD. It has amazing miraculous cleansing POWER!

We the people are to be HIS Church! Every day is a day to Worship & Praise our LORD! True worshipers must “Worship HIM in SPIRIT & in TRUTH” whenever, however or wherever we worship. We are the Ecclesia meaning: HIS worldwide church is a congregation of believers; we are the collective body of Christian believers regarded as actually constituting one Universal Church united under GOD ALMIGHTY.

Each day is a precious GIFT from the LORD! We are to live each day as though our Lord was going to return. JESUS CHRIST is going to return for HIS CHURCH! HE is continuing preparing us removing every spot and wrinkle…

Know GOD & HIS WORD for yourself! HE WILL NEVER lead us to do anything that goes against HIS WORD!!! DON’T ALLOW ANYONE TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE IN SIN. Don’t be deceived. This is not love. Correction is a part of His love. We are to daily grow in His Grace and sin less… SIN is what actually separates us from GOD! PRAY for discernment! Draw closer to the LORD and commit to spend time in HIS presence daily. HE will write HIS WORD upon the table of your heart. HIS HOLY WORD is the “BIBLE” = It is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth! Know and embrace HIS WORD for yourself! His Holy Spirit is always available to help us learn and understand.

GOD has already placed within us EVERYTHING we need to do and accomplish ALL that HE has created us for… In HIM we CAN discover EVERYTHING that we will ever need for Life, Living & Eternal Life with HIM. HIS WORD IS ALIVE! Things come & go but with the LORD there WILL ALWAYS be more…” For this we can rejoice! GOD KEEPS his promises. “HE WILL SUPPLY ALL OF OUR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY IN CHRIST JESUS!” Philippians 4  In HIS time, HE WILL also; “give you the desires of your heart” that are in HIS WILL for you.  Daily walk in the LIGHT and embrace HIS WORD!  Be encouraged knowing that everywhere you are GOD is with you!

Embracing the Fruit of the Spirit within you marriage “Faithfulness” Part 7

Embracing the Fruit of the Spirit within your marriage “Faithfulness”

Part 7

Faithfulness

Faithfulness is a very important aspect of building a strong healthy marriage!

Marriage really is about teamwork! Is your marriage really what you expected? Or did you expect things to just happen? Your marriage will not bloom and flourish unless you both put forth an effort. The two of you need to make a conscious genuine attempt to honor your marriage vows. Your health, mental state, physical stamina and well being are greatly impacted by the manner in which you relate in your marriage! Together you have the ability to create a healthy, invigorating, enjoyable, relaxing and harmonious home environment.

Marriage is the ultimate partnership relationship between a man and a woman! A good marriage embraces loyalty and faithfulness! Faithfulness is an expression of love!

Growing together in  your marriage

It is important to learn to become transparent with your spouse. Marriage is about continuously growing and encouraging one another to become the best person that they can be… This way everyone benefits.

Make it a point to become increasingly aware of one another’s temperaments! Temperament is how we react or respond to people, places and things in any given situation. Temperament is our God given  innate inherent characteristics that make us unique. No two persons are really the same.  God made each of us as originals. But two people can learn to live together in harmony as we respect one another. This is how your love grows!

Embrace allowing the “Fruit of the Spirit” to flourish within each of you as well as within your marriage. Chastise one another yes, but speak the truth in love! Timing is key. There are times you must say to your spouse what no one else will say. This is to help one another to grow and improve. Rather than focusing on one another’s shortcomings,  frequently look for times to build one another up and encourage one another when the opportunity arises. This also builds transparency and intimacy.

Building Intimacy Together

Physical and emotional intimacy is important in marriage. This too will enhance your moments of close physical intimacy. A good strong marriage makes you both better and stronger individuals who have one another’s best interest at heart. This is true wherever you, whether if you are apart or together.  You are secure knowing that you always have one another’s  heart between you.  Learn to lay aside improper or dysfunctional ways that will only hinder your spiritual growth as well as your marriage.

Always remember; You honor God when you honor your marriage!

Lovingly, and faithfully work together to make sure that one another’s sexual needs and desires are realized and fulfilled within your marriage. Your physical intimacy becomes yet another committed expression of the depth of your love for one another. Together you can work through any issues that hinder you from freely expressing yourselves to one another…

Coming together  as one is natural. There is no need for shame when expressing what God made to be a beautiful time of coming together! Physically, emotionally and intimately the “two become one flesh” Within marriage the “marriage bed” is honorable in the sight of God. “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed should always be kept pure.” Hebrews 13. You both commit to honor not only your marriage but the marriages of others.

There is security in faithfulness

Faithfulness is part of the Fruit of the Spirit! When you are faithful it yields oodles of security! You both know no matter what; that you can trust one another and that you are there for one another. Even when you disagree you have inner peace about your marriage because there is a deep well of trust built into the foundation of your relationship. You can even disagree respectfully.  Your marriage is a high priority!

Life is complex and at times very difficult… Everyone has a bad day… So you do not readily personalize your spouse’s every word or frustration. You allow one another to vent when needed… You respect one another and become sensitive to their needs. Do not allow pride to take the reign of your marriage, be humble, caring, discerning and loving. This takes inner strength and patience… Faithfulness allows you to give one another the room to grow and give each other some space whenever necessary.

Marriage is sacred in the eyes of God! Spend some time daily in His Word. Embrace and implement His principles for life and living within your marriage. He is the original Designer of marriage. God’s way really does works when we adhere to His principles. Building a strong loving marriage involves commitment and gentleness. You can still be strong but and be gentle. Gentleness is another part of the Fruit of the Spirit we will discuss next in this series. I hope that this has been helpful and you are encouraged to take responsibility for your part in making your marriage successful!

When you honor your marriage vows you honor God!

“But the Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness…” Galatians 5.  These become by products of an ever increasing  relationship with the Lord.    Embracing God’s Word and His principles grows us in His Grace.

Marriage God’s way comes with marvelous benefits.  Marriage  is a commitment to work together  for a common goal.  You can be united as One!  Therefore,  you should marry because we want to grow in love together for a lifetime.   As you honor God within your marriage He will bless you by multiplying and manifesting  the Fruit of His Spirit  within both of you Faithfulness is a part of His Fruit.

Benefits of Faithfulness

Faithfulness genuinely  says that I take my vows to you and to God seriously. That I love you and I am here for you no matter what and together  we can make it through anything!  Transparency and intimacy is encouraged. You  not only remain  faithful to one another but you are  also faithful to God as well!   Yes things will happen… However, you can always invite God into the “messiness” of your life because you know that God is forever  faithful!   God is more than able! He has given us His Comforter to Help us!

While in this world we are living within a spiritual warzone. Therefore you can expect some of everything…   However, the battle is not ours.  We are to remain alert and  daily adorned within the spiritual armor. Regardless of what the world is doing;  We know that His precious  Holy Spirit can help us 24/7.  Thank God for Christ Jesus! There are many benefits in learning how to embrace and implement  the Fruit of God’s Spirit within  your marriage. So now let’s move towards learning how to embrace gentleness…

God wants His Grace to be with us

God wants His Grace to be with usGood News 1

God is an omnipotent, gracious, kind & loving God. It is through His grace and compassion that He created this world for us to live in that we inhabit. Grace is God’s unmerited favor, it is His elegant extravagant divine kindness extended toward us. God always loves us because He is love and God wants His grace to be with us! Truly God is the Most High God above Him is no other! He is the Great “I AM!”

The Hebrew word for grace is hased. It is derived from the word hesad which means to be good or kind. The Greek word for grace is charis it is derived from the word char which means wellbeing pleasant or delightful. God’s grace has been bestowed upon us through Jesus Christ. “From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; Grace & Truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1 The Word teaches us that we are saved by the Grace of God. “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith — and this is not of yourselves, it is a gift from God – not by works, so that no one can boast, less anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2.

If you ever wonder how life on earth began take some time and study the Book of Genesis. Genesis means beginning or origin. It contains an authentic record of creation. It is by God’s graciousness that He created this world for us to live in. He created mankind for His Glory. “In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Genesis 1

It is clear that God existed before anything else. God is omnipresent He is everywhere at the same time, He is infinitely immeasurable. Our infinitesimal minds cannot comprehend the totality of God who is limitless. He created the Heavens and the earth through His Word Jesus Christ who had not yet manifested within a body of sinless flesh, yet He was with the Father from the beginning in Spirit. This is an amazing truth that we believe through the Faith He has instilled within us who embrace His infallible Word! There is absolutely nothing that has ever happened or will happen in Heaven or earth that God is not totally aware of. He is omniscient He knows everything that has happened, is happening and will happen. It is God’s desire that we draw closer to Him daily!

Everything that God made was good! God wants us to experience the goodness of His grace. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God‘s Grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And made known the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment — to bring all things in Heaven and on earth together under One Head, even Christ!” Ephesians 1

God created and provided everything for Adam & Eve that was needed or necessary for them to live a rich full abundant carefree spiritual, emotional and physical life in His presence. He created Adam in His own image, who was the first man. He created them as one. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1 God made Adam from the dust of the ground. He then placed Adam into a deep sleep, and took one of his rib bones. From the rib bone that was taken from Adam God miraculously created him a companion wife to be by his side! They both were as one, God named them Adam. Marriage was created by God. God’s grace was upon them. It was not until after they had disobeyed and sinned that Adam named his wife Eve. Adam & Eve was the first couple and they lived in harmony with the Lord until they disobeyed. From Peter we learn that the Lord extends His grace to us in marriage. It is important that God is or becomes the center of your marriage. “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them in understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.” 1Peter 3

God’s Grace was with Adam & Eve from the very beginning.

Why Marriage God’s Way is Important Part 2

Why Marriage God’s Way is Important

Part 2

Marriage is the first institution that GOD designed!

Marriage is the first institution that GOD designed!

The Holy Spirit is the Comforter and Teacher that resides with us as believers to lead and guide us to all Truth! God is utterly amazing. All the Laws given to us by Moses and the prophets pointed us back to the righteousness of God. It is through His Holy Spirit the Lord now writes His Laws within our hearts as we walk in obedience to His Word!

Jesus tells us: “If you love Me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him; but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you!” John 14. This is a loaded powerful Scripture that will have a major impact upon your personal life once you sincerely embrace it and allow the Holy Spirit to embed it deeply within your heart!

Marriage God’s Way

God’s way for marriage is for a  committed monogamous heterosexual couple consisting of One man + One Woman! As believers we must continue to present the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD for marriage. This world is on a slippery slope and forever changing.  We GOD’S CHURCH  are called believers because we believe and embrace GOD’S WORD! There is much spiritual warfare to undermine the validity of Marriage His Way!

Marriage God’s Way is the ultimate  relationship between One man & One woman where we can learn to become One!

It is a marvelous, wonderful Blessing when the Lord blesses your union with children.  Therefore you want to impart genuine love to them as you raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord.  Your love will  then continue to live on beyond your lives. As you raise them up keep in mind they become a continual generational legacy.

Life and Living really is all about allowing GOD to be the Center of life.

Holy Matrimony

It is in His Word we are better able to understand why at times we as committed believers will not be understood. For many embracing God’s principles for life and living has become optional. The world is ever moving away from godly principles. Whatever is right in the eyes of man/woman is accepted.  God does wants us to live unhappy and legalistically.  He has given us His Precious Holy Spirit, His Comforter  to lead, guide, direct and protect us.  As believers we should readily live out daily  the Truth of God’s Word within the confines of our marriage.

“Holy Matrimony”  once was considered  by all as a sacred union designed by God, now it is gradually becoming a fleeting standard.

The vows we make should not be just mere words.

In the Word we  can also better understand why the world at large does not readily accept His Word. This is nothing new. Marriage between one man and one woman remains ordained by God.

Know this; You cannot enter into the Kingdom of God living contrary to His Word!  Holy Father, Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Lord Thank You for Your Living Word Crist Jesus!

Oldest Institution

Marriage is the first institution that God designed. This is also another reason why there is so much spiritual warfare to try and change it.  You can opt to do your own thing. But this does not nullify what He has said. You really can’t change His original design as far as GOD is concerned.  There is a plethora of spiritual wisdom in His Word to enrich our lives in every way. When a husband and wife are on one accord there is spiritual power in the unity of their marriage. God is Love. His Love, yields, Trust, Loyalty, Kindness,  and Faithfulness to Him and to  one another.

The world does not believe that God’s design for marriage is the only way. We have been given the freedom to  choose.  It is important to know that there are consequences for our choices.  Just look around you. This is why it is so very important that we study and know His Word for ourselves. When we grow in His Grace, Knowledge and Wisdom His Love continues to grow within us. More of the Fruit of His Spirit manifests and multiples within us as well.  We can trust God in any and every situation.

Pray for spiritual discernment!

God’s Holy Spirit residing within is readily available to help us as we submit to His Will His Way! “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid…”John 14.

A Very PRESENT HELP, In Times of Trouble

There is so much turbulence and conflict about us in the world today and within our country as well. Few will readily admit it, but it is a great deal of conflict going on also within the Church. Many of the ways of the world have nested itself amidst God’s Church. This is, resulting in further conflict surrounding many families, marriages, friendships, on the job and in the schools. Quite often many of the unhealthy dynamics simply go unaddressed. Guilt, blame and shame take the forefront. Therefore anxiety levels, anger, resentment, depression, addictions, numerous stress related illnesses, diseases and health concerns are on the rise.

Due to the increasing awareness of the unfortunate declining economic status many places throughout the land many are living in fear and insecurity. Our nation has begun to gradually come back from a very difficult era in time. However, there has been an overwhelming trickle down global effect on the world at large. There have been strings of layoffs, numerous companies closing, rapidly falling stock prices, decreasing values of 401K’s and other retirement accounts, were in a terrible “recession” that we are still trying to recover from. It has been said that the United States has been consuming more than it produces for years. It has been quoted that just in the last eight years we lost $40 Trillion of our economy. The Washington Times quotes; “Paul Volcker, former chairman of the Federal Reserve and an economic adviser to President Obama, told a congressional committee that massive trade-related imbalances in the U.S. economy were the source of the financial crisis that produced the ugly recession.”

There is a growing concern as to the overall quality of life worldwide. Ongoing wars, continued escalating terrorists threats and due to global warming, the threat of more hurricanes, famines, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes and more natural disasters are all becoming of a greater concern as well. There has been an extreme plethora of sinless horrific mass shootings by disgruntled foreign and domestic terrorists. Let us not forget the continuing saga of scandalous political elections. All this further leading to more broken families, divorces, suicides and escalating crime, all these and more factor into the overall quality of life as we know it.

But should we really be surprised?

In spite of it all there is still hope! If you are a believer then you must know that the Truth of God’s Word is being affirmed. Jesus has said, “You will hear, of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed, such things must happen, but the end is still to come, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of many will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24 It is so very important to know God’s Word!

God’s timeless Word is so wonderfully amazing! Our attitude and perception have a lot to do with how we cope in any given situation. Conflict is inevitable. The Lord really is, can, and will be a refuge in times like these. Although a growing concern is warranted. God is able! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.” God’s people should always look to Him, especially when it seems as though the world is coming apart. On many occasions even within His Church the ways of the world have been embraced. But this is nothing new. Things may even get worst before it gets better. There is much spiritual warfare about us. But don’t blame God. Our security and significance must be in Him alone! God’s weapons are not carnal. One must seek to not compromise His Word. During adversity with balanced faith, families grow stronger, healthy relationships are fortified when the armor of the Lord is embraced. His Word prevails! Just know God will never lead you to do anything contrary to His Word. Man from the very beginning has quite often chosen to disregard what God has said. What we are experiencing is a direct result of those consequences. But remember, “The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof, the world and them that dwell therein…”

Begin to consider looking to God and His principles for the solution to whatever you may be going through. In Him there is always hope! Whenever conflict arises it is so very important to consult Him. More often than not when conflict arises He is the last resort. God has given us various illustrated methods to utilize healthy confrontation. But too often pride is at the forefront and carnal methods are employed instead. I would like to share with you a tidbit from the narrative on Joseph. It is one of the many exhilarating examples you can find in the Bible: There was a “famine” or should I say “recession” in the land?

Joseph was favored by the Lord and was also his father’s Israel’s favorite. This called much conflict. Joseph had many brothers. “Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made a richly ornamented robe for him. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.”Joseph had several dreams. In one of his dreams, “the sun moon and stars bowed down to him.” His brothers were jealous of Joseph so they plotted together and sold Joseph into slavery, they called him a “dreamer.” They then slaughtered a goat, put the blood on Joseph’s robe, went home, lied and told their father that Joseph had been killed…

While a slave Joseph’s master Potiphar favored him and put him in charge of all that he possessed. His master’s wife tried to seduce him, but Joseph would have no part of it. She in turn lied on him and he was unjustly put into prison. While in prison the Lord’s favor was with Joseph. The warden was so impressed by Joseph, even here he put him in charge of everything! Joseph was able to interpret dreams. While in prison, many things happened to Joseph… One day, Pharaoh the King of Egypt was troubled and had a dream. Joseph was called; he was able to interpret his dream. The Pharaoh realized that Joseph was wise and discerning. “So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt…”

A great famine came upon the land. Joseph had planned wisely and because of it there was ample food in Egypt. Joseph’s brothers lived in Canaan were there was no food. They were sent to Egypt by their father to buy grain. Guess what? When they arrived in Egypt they had to bow down to Joseph, he was now the governor. God knew way in advance what was going to take place. In spite of all Joseph’s mistreatment and adversity the Lord was still with Joseph… He finally revealed himself to his brothers. “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry for selling me here, because it was to save the lives that God sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been a famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping. But GOD sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance…” (For the details of this amazing narrative, read Genesis 39-47) Look at God!

This is why it is important to “Be Still and know that He is God.” Knowing God and His Word helps us to discern and recognize when something is not of Him. This is why we must daily ask for the infilling presence of His Holy Spirit. God does not have to manipulate, operate undercover, nor utilize false witnesses. God is aware of everything. He is Omniscient! It is very important to know the Lord’s Word for yourself and develop an ongoing, growing, trusting, personal intimate relationship with Him. It is important to learn to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

We must learn to invite God into all areas of our lives. God has a way in which to resolve conflict and confront issues that is quite different from that of the world. Remember He is a SPIRIT of TRUTH! His Word is full of seemingly impossible situations that resulted in a favorable outcome. Many who claim to be Christians continue to embrace very carnal ways to remediate behavior and seek resolutions. Many subscribe to a dual lifestyle one way at home and another way is present before the Church Community. It is important to keep in mind that God is aware of everything. He knows us from the inside out. Many really do not know nor believe that His Holy Spirit really does have Transformation power! He can and is more than able to bring about a true Metamorphosis in your life. Praise God!

Jesus Christ came so that we might live differently. Throughout His Word you will find all sorts of situations that are profoundly unfathomable. Yet He saw and will see His people through. There is a wealth of wisdom found in the Word of God that is priceless. The Pharisees was the established religious order that sought to discredit Jesus. They were intimidated by Him because He did not adhere to their legalistic practices. Spiritually they were blind. They too wanted to continue to resolve things their own way. Jesus was a living example as to what one can expect when you truly dedicate your life to Him! God knew way back then what would be going on now. “Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies: nothing you can desire can compare with her…”

Some things just will not be understood on this side of heaven. From the very beginning God had a plan for our lives. God is so gracious, loving, kind and patient. Few know what it truly means to love. God is love. Can you really love without knowing Him? He sent His only begotten Son so we could be redeemed from the power of sin. We have been given an Eternal Comforter an Internal Teacher! Even in the midst of all the turmoil that is about us His plan is still the same. If you are burdened down by the pressures and stresses of life, I have some “Good News” for you. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). God may not remove every burden, every difficult person or situation in your life, but you can find comfort in His Word. It is important to know His Promises! I assure you, He will and does keep all His Promises! Even in your difficult days, His Word will be “A lamp unto your feet and a Light unto your path. I have sworn and I will keep your righteous judgments…” To GOD be the GLORY!

What Does It Mean to Love? Part 1

What does it mean to love someone? Does it mean you give them everything they want? Does it mean letting someone run over you? Does it mean you tell them what they want to hear? Does it mean you never make them angry? Does love ever end?

Webster defines love in this way; strong affection for another based on kinship ties.

Example: maternal love for a child. Attraction based on sexual desire. Admiration or benevolence. Warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion. A beloved person: Darling. Brotherly concern for others. To hold dear. To feel a lover’s passion, devotion, or tenderness. An unselfish concern of God for man.

The scriptures tell us that “God is Love.”

Tell me can you really truly love someone and not know God? Or better yet to the degree you know God; does it help you love in a profound way? According to I Corinthians 13 LOVE…….is PATIENT…….is KIND…….does not ENVY……. does not BOAST……. Is not PROUD…..is not SELFISH. Keeps no record of wrong doings…….does not DELIGHT in EVIL….but REJOICES in TRUTH. Always protects. Always TRUSTS. Always HOPES. Always PERSEVERES.

Does your definition of love encompass Biblical principles? Guess what? Well, whenever the above are not in operation it is not love. We all should seek to improve how we respond in love. Guard the Love the Lord Blesses you with!

I have found that love is a term that many people use loosely.

If you listen clearly they usually base love on doing or not doing something for them. Love is not giving someone what they want. Love is not letting people run over you. Love is not telling people what they want to hear. If you love them you will speak the truth in love. Just know when you truly love people they will get angry with you sometimes! Learn to be “angry and sin not!”

I am eternally grateful that the LORD has bestowed His Love upon our lives and our marriage. I can say we genuinely love, appreciate and respect one another as husband and wife. It is not something we take for granted. We both are able to stand firm as individuals in what and who we believe in. Together we have faithfully allowed the Lord Center Place within our marriage.  We have traveled the world together and thoroughly enjoy spending quality time with one another.

We are thankful to Abba Father God’s Holy Spirit His Comforter. There is never question as to His Divine intervention in bringing us together. This was confirmed by our late Elder Pastor/mentor. He told us it was important to not let anything come between the “circle” of our God given love. We have held his godly wisdom dear to our hearts for many decades…  We have always appreciated and respected the spiritual “One-ness” that is attainable in “HOLY MATRIMONY!” It has helped us to weather the storms of life as well as the plethora of mountaintop experiences. We enjoy, genuinely love, respect, trust without doubt and care passionately for another.  By God’s grace we have raised our children in a balanced, loving, healthy, stable, safe environment. This is something our children can also attest to. Christ Jesus is our best witness.

I am most thankful for God given coping skills.

There is a Joy and an unexplainable Peace that is present even in the midst of sickness, sorrow, contention or spiritual warfare. The HOLY SPIRIT is a wonderful  SPIRITUAL COUNSELOR! GOD’S TRUTH is POWERFUL. It will not allow you to freely move in denial but rather seek TRUTH. (ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ANYWHERE IS HIDDEN TO THE LORD) A lie will keep you in bondage. There is no place in truth for delusional illusions to persists. I/we Thank the LORD for “Sound Minds!” And an undoubtable constant awareness of GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE everywhere you are. Always seek the TRUTH above all else… I fully realize without the Lord I am nothing but walking breathing shaped formed dust. Yet in Him I am confident knowing that within me His Holy Spirit resides.

As we submit to the “WILL & WAY” of the LORD HIS HOLY SPIRIT leads us to ALL TRUTH!

It is important to readily strive to resolve conflict. It only serves to limit your own “Walking in the Spirit!”  Feelings need to be validated. Discipline needs to be embraced when responding or not responding. Confrontation exercised from the perspective; “this is how you feel” Be willing to “REPENT” whenever in error. Choose freely the path of spiritual growth Move forward allowing the Lord to build your character. Don’t let life make you bitter always strive to “BECOME BETTER!” Life is so very precious and you do not want to spend the majority of your marriage and your relationships in “much ado!” You get stronger in this as you practice it.

There are those who have lived with much turmoil.

Rather than seek to resolve their inner turmoil they tend to continue to create it. They will often project how they are feeling upon you. Pray for Discernment!

Whenever you are dealing with someone who does not really understand love they will often misinterpret your intentions. Their perspective of you will fluctuate. They base everything on their feelings. Not usually looking at what they have done or said to make the relationship go south. Yet, you suddenly are no longer the kind wonderful person that they thought you were? All of a sudden you will be perceived as being cold, uncaring, and selfish. But yesterday you were the greatest… But now since you won’t let them have something or do something you are cold. Yet they have done little or nothing.

Go figure? Watch the double mindedness. They will accuse you of not really loving them when you don’t give them what they want. Know they are hurting and want you to hurt too. This is not the case in a healthy marriage or relationship.  Even when you disagree you will reinforce your love for one another. You know one another and don’t try to reduce one another to a lower standard. You can disagree respectfully. Patience is key!

Don’t fret! God knows your heart. Pray for them. (In a trusting relationship you don’t go here…) Stand fast. Be patient and allow the Lord to bring what is really happening to the forefront. Don’t manipulate or don’t allow anyone to manipulate you. Seek the Lord fervently for direction. In the meantime pray for them. Begin to practice healthy boundaries with them. Or you will engage in a continuous cycle of dysfunction.

Many people are angry about life in general

There are many angry people who will chew you out at the drop of a hat. They have oodles of pent up unresolved anger. Cancer, high blood pressure, eating disorders, temper tantrums and depression are just a few results of stored anger and or unresolved conflict. It’s okay for them to have a tantrum. Its okay for them to vent and rant. Its okay for them to do very little. Like a spoiled child they want what they want right now. Usually at your expense.  Your are prideful yet they are justified.  You are expected to appease them.

Anger is natural. It takes discipline to combat anger. Encourage them to learn to be patient and find healthy ways to express their anger. Suppressing anger is unhealthy. Just know it takes more control to not respond than to throw a fit. Did you know you can be angry and sin not?

By the way you must let go of some people you love. I am not talking about letting go like in divorce. Divorce occurs because two adults are not able to work through whatever problems they are experiencing. They are not able to keep the commitment they made to each other for whatever reason. Often this is because they really didn’t think things through first. The responsibility to nurture the marriage is not mutual.

Live and Thrive to build a lasting marriage

Many couples are unaware of the necessary tenacity for building an enduring marriage. There are also those who come to marriage to get rather than to give. They have been so hurt that they remain insulated from learning how to really love and keep the vows that they made. Sometimes they will exit selfishly living behind a wall of shame… (But that’s another column/sermonette). When I say letting go I mean putting them in hands of the Lord. Allow Him to intervene.

There are those who just enjoy a habitat of tension and confusion. They will often go the mile with a coworker or a friend and their spouse receives the leftovers. Or as a friend you will have to carry the load the majority of the time. They tend to participate in just about everything at their place of worship, or work related activities, yet their home life suffers and takes secondary place. Their need for acceptance by others is their priority. This should not be. It is clear that they don’t perceive  or understand God’s Omnipresence.

Anger and dysfunction need to be confronted. Avoiding conflict is not healthy. Did you know you could break unhealthy cycles by employing better ways to resolve conflict? Allowing a cooling off period before discussing the problem may be helpful. Always seek direction from the Lord He will never lead you wrong. He will help you to humble yourself. Learn to walk in meekness. Which is power under disciplined control.

Sharing a one sided account of what has happened to your friends will not help your relationship. It may get you some momentary support. But it won’t help you to grow spiritually. Words spoken in a fit of anger can be very damaging. Taking responsibility for your actions is always a step in the right direction. Letting go and allowing them space to feel the consequences for their actions can be beneficial to their spiritual maturity.

The world is a very inconsistent place.

God’s standards are not often respected nor appreciated by many. God must be the central focus of your life and  relationships for true successful living as a believer. Life will present challenges. But with the help of the Lord; He can and will deliver you through it all. The prophets pleaded over and over with God’s people to return to His principles. But many still preferred to do their own thing. Knowing the WORD of GOD for yourself is important. God wants to be first in your life. Remember after all you claim you belong to Him?

As believers we have been grafted into His family. He wants us to know Him through His Word. God has instructed us to; “Hear O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thine soul, and with all thine might. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto they children and talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest……. (Deuteronomy 6) God loves us and is faithful. ALL HIS WORD IS TRUE.

“GOD IS LOVE!” HIS LOVE LASTS THROUGH ETERNITY

Love will help you weather the storms of life. Love must be balanced. The term “unconditional love” is often misused today. I often hear SOME SAY; “I can do without your kind of love.” Well, “your kind or my kind of love” is not love at all. This is really more about how you are feeling in the moment. Remember, God sets the standard for love, for “God is Love” Unless we measure it by His standards it’s merely subjective opinion. For example; the more I don’t rock your boat you love me. Once you rock my boat I tell you to get out. Now all of a sudden you cry, “You don’t love me anymore.” As long as I let you rock my boat it’s thought of as love. This does not have to be. WRONG! This is immaturity. How can something as important as Love be reduced to such insignificant terms. This is what I call “intoxicating affections.” It mimics love and doesn’t last.

Don’t get love confused with how you feel in the moment. You can not like what someone does and still love them. It is love that actually helps you to respond properly or not respond to them despite the way you feel. Remember God’s love rejoices in the truth! Although it can be painful shift through what someone says to you and see if there is any truth in it. Make an adjustment whenever necessary. This is how you shape your character. Beware of counterfeit love. When you have been truly loved you will know the difference.

In a healthy marriage or relationship you do not seek to reduce the love you have for one another. You take responsibility for your actions and how you are feeling.

There are only a few that find genuine LOVE.

But God really wants this for all of us. Love is precious! It is never too late to seek GOD’S LOVE! This is true if you are married or single. “Be ye perfect because I AM Perfect” God really does wants us to become perfect in HIM. Which means to become complete in HIM who IS LOVE! No one is flawless but JESUS. This is why we all need HIM as SAVIOR & LORD! HE says; we ALL CAN BECOME PERFECT in HIM! Scriptures tells us that love covers a multitude of faults. This does not mean we ignore or condone sinful habits. Don’t be deceived. There are consequences for sin. This is why it is so very important to know His Word for yourself!

Growing your love in a healthy marriage or genuine relationship should be a mutual priority!

We are living in some interesting times when some of everything is happening all over the world. The Spiritual Warfare in these “Last Days” has heightened. The devil’s agenda is to reek extreme havoc upon the children of God as well as those in the world. He will use whoever he can. He knows that time is winding UP!

Now is a good time to seek the Lord above all else. In the Word, God says; “Is anyone of you in trouble! He should PRAY!” James 5 Humble yourself before the Lord. Be encouraged for GOD always has a way to HIM 24/7…
