Part 1
CHRIST CAME TO SET US FREE!
“It is for FREEDOM that CHRIST has set us FREE. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened with a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5
Seven IF’s to healing your heart and home!
IF You really want healing to begin seek the LORD above ALL else. You cannot change what has been, but YOU CAN start afresh TODAY.
IF You want to start healing this next generation think about what you do and say in front of them. Apologize for what has been and help them get to a better place. It’s never too late to start anew.
IF You raised, or are raising your children by yelling, screaming and cussing at them guess what? They will probably do the same thing. They will seek to dominate and control others…
IF You hit them upside the head and slap them in the mouth; guess what? You are instilling anger within them. You are making them a slave to sin. This is not all appropriate or necessary. It is more a reflection of your lack of self-control than their behavior.
IF You are beating them to death; guess what? You are really, actually beating the natural life out of them. You are replacing it will stress, anger, hate, insecurity, and rage. You are actually shutting them down and causing them to become violent and pushing them towards seeking physical hitting and abusive ways that create even more inner conflict. This further serves to give them poor coping skills which makes them feel unloved. It sets up an inner unhealthy emotional environment that welcomes addictions and very little self control. To name a few; Addiction, Alcohol, Drugs, Overeating, Undereating, Promiscuity, Homosexuality, Adultery, Fornication, Unfaithfulness, Stealing, Lying, Fighting and Violence. These are just a few of the results… Their way of being is now obsessing and learning to dominate and control rather than exercise Self-Control and become FREE!
IF You are calling them out of their name, talking bad about everyone else and constantly putting them down: guess what? You are helping them have an identity crisis as well as low self-esteem… They will see themselves as you express yourself to them. They will have poor opinions of others as well. They also will feel lesser than, rather than equal too. Children are NOT your slaves or possessions and should not be treated as so regardless of race, creed or color… Teach them respect by being respectful.
The Good News is;
You can become FREE! You can begin to heal your heart and home!
IF You have done none of the above; guess what? There is still room for self improvement. As long as the Lord has us on this side of heaven it is to grow in His Grace. God really can help you build and establish a healthy, loving, safe, balanced as well as fun secure living environment. A place for all to grow and flourish. But, you just have to be willing to put in the time and effort. Always invite the presence of the Lord all around you. Your home enviroment will be whatever you make it. When you are truly willing to make some changes there are unlimited possibilities… Get busy!
Christ Jesus overcame, sin, death and the grave so we could live better well-rounded lives. True success is inclusive of obeying God and daily embracing His principles.
Know God and His Word for yourself. God really does have a purpose and plan for each of our lives. But it is your choice to daily seek him above the ways of this world. “DRAW NIGH TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NIGH TO YOU!”
There IS ALWAYS HOPE in the LORD! Together you can move forward towards healing. You really can be healed, delivered, restored and set FREE!
“Greater IS HE that is within you than he that is in the world…”

Part 2
STOP THE MADNESS
GOD really does have a better way.
Should children be corrected? Yes indeed! But think before your buttons are pushed like a remote control. Proper correction is always done in love. Learn to correct and control yourself before you try to correct them. If not don’t expect them to do any differently. For they will simply model your behavior. Do you treat them the way you want to be treated? Think about how You would feel if it were you, being treated the way you treat them… To break a cycle you must do something differently.
IF you don’t have self-control yourself; simply remove yourself momentarily from their presence unto you can discipline them properly. Afterall you are supposed to be the responsible adult. Begin to set yourself and them free at the same time. Admit you need to develop healthy boundaries. You become what you practice. Yes, please do correct them and also correct yourself. REPENT!
LET’S STOP the VIOLENCE! Violence begats violence. There is too much violence going on all throughout this world. Get BETTER, not bitter. Get real, this does not have to be. Many have lived wrong for so long this is all that they know. Get aware and make it a point to lessen the frequency of emotional, mental & physical, abuse and really EMBRACE LOVE! Remember; LOVE IS PATIENT! Not the distorted worldly definition of love but GOD’S LOVE that corrects, protects, makes, awakens, shapes and molds us in HIS IMAGE! GOD’S LOVE allows the FRUIT of HIS SPIRIT to flourish and abound within us. GOD’S LOVE lasts through ETERNITY!
FRUIT OF HIS SPIRIT
“But the FRUIT of the SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS and SELF-CONTORL. Against such is NO LAW. Those who BELONG to CHRIST JESUS have CRUCIFIED the sinful nature with its passions and desires, Since WE LIVE BY THE SPIRIT, let us KEEP IN STEP WITH THE SPIRIT. Let us become NOT conceited, provoking and envying one another…”
GALATIANS 5
WORKS OF THE FLESH
“THE ACTS OF THE sinful nature are obvious sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealously, fits of rage, self-ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn You, as I did before, that those who live like this WILL NOT INHERIT the KINGDOM of GOD…”
GALATIANS 5
There is no power that even comes close to our OMNIPOTENT GOD!!! Aways keep in mind that GOD is also OMNIPRESENT so you can call upon him 24/7. He can help you. It is by HIS marvelous grace we can become more and more disciplined… He is able in any and every situation to help you rise above anything that attempts to make you focus or lose control. It could be something as simple as pushing away from the table. Or knowing when to speak softly or yes when to speak firm & strong. Healthy boundaries keep us in line and teach us to exercise self-control… PRAY FOR DISCERNMENT! Know that there are those who will attempt to test you far beyond anything that they themselves could ever endure. Remember we access GOD’S POWER. But we never become the power. This is why we ALL are forever dependent upon our LORD & SAVIOR CHRIST JESUS.
Learn to trust GOD!!!
Live to Please the LORD in all that You do. DON’T just go to CHURCH. “BE GOD’S CHURCH EVERYDAY & EVERYWHERE!” Scripture is powerful. It is our necessary essential Spiritual Food. It is required in order to properly grow spiritually. “DO NOT CONFORM to this world! “Therefore, I urge You, brothers, in view of GOD’S mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, HOLY and pleasing to GOD ~ this is your spiritual act of worship. DO NOT CONFORM any longer to the pattern of this world, BUT BE TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your mind. Then you WILL BE ABLE to TEST & APPROVE what GOD’S WILL IS! HIS GOOD, PLEASING & PERFECT WILL.” ROMANS 12 (NIV) Be led by the Spirit of God!
GOD does not ask us to do something that is not possible. It is through HIM we are able to do what seems impossible to man. Whenever we solicit HIS HELP we should first desire that whatever we are asking for is in HIS WILL! GOD always knows what is best for us!
WALK IN THE LIGHT
It is very important to KNOW the difference between; THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT & The works of the flesh. To every problem GOD has a solution. We just need to seek HIS WILL & HIS WAY above the ways of man/woman. Look all around you and see with your spiritual eyes. Things have gotten out of hand. Think globally and look universally; See what is happening to families, marriages, relationships, governments, cities, nations, countries, life, within the Church and living life as a whole…
No doubt the horrendous impact of the Coronavirus plague and pestilence, is a resulting consequence of what has been going on all throughout the world. All have been impacted one way or another. Remember it is still here. God’s Word is being fulfilled right before our very eyes. We have to continuously learn how to live safely & wisely as the Word of God continues to be fulfilled all around us. Time out for foolishness. Things have gone too far… The “Latter Days” are upon us.
There is always HOPE in the LORD!
God is speaking we must get better at listening. Therefore, we ALL need CHRIST JESUS as our personal SAVIOR and LORD and HIS HOLY SPIRIT; HIS COMFORTER. HIS HOLY SPIRIT WILL LEAD US to ALL TRUTH! As we walk in TRUTH we allow the LORD to bring healing to our hearts, minds, bodies, souls as well as our homes… GOD IS THE GOD OF ALL COMFORTS! Begin to really TRUST GOD & HIS WORD and “WALK IN THE LIGHT!”

Grief – (Grieving Is Emotionally Painful) Part 2

GOD’S JOY IS AVAILABLE!
There is always “HOPE” in the Lord! For our Lord is available 24/7 wherever you may be. God’s joy is not contingent upon the approval of others or on our situation. God is omnipotent therefore He is more than able. It is written: “Draw nigh to GOD and HE will draw nigh to you!” James 4 We can always and forever depend upon God and His Word. “And you shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you FREE!” John 8 Always remember; GOD IS THE “SPIRIT OF TRUTH!”
You can experience GOD’S JOY!
Joy runs deep when you know that God is your source of strength. Joy is a by product of focusing on God which will or can give you a wonderful peaceful sense of well-being. When you spend time daily in prayer, praising and studying God’s Word I guarantee you, you will experience great joy! It will give you a different perspective in your time of need.
You can overcome any adversity
The Apostle Paul endured many adversities. Yet he chose to use those adversities to develop a deeper relationship with the Lord. Paul did not seek to be elevated by a title although he had every right to pull rank on the religious hierarchy. God’s grace was fully sufficient for Paul. Paul grasped something that few people ever really understand or attain. Paul delighted and found joy in the Lord regardless of what was going on about him. From an outward appearance this was not always apparent to his onlookers. Paul and Silas together sang and prayed so fervently that even the doors to prison were opened for them. This is one of the many examples of the difference God makes when we invite HIM into our lives.
We serve an Omnipresent Almighty GOD!
God’s presence and comfort is near and dear. God is never far from any of us. Believing, knowing and actually applying God’s Word will transform your mind to think spiritually when faced with grief or any trial or situation that comes into your life. Now this does not mean being in denial; quite the contrary. Knowing the Truth is so very powerful. It increases your discernment!
Man looks on the outside. God looks at the heart. According to God’s Word spiritual things can not be understood by the natural or carnal man. There are those who think so carnally you have to proceed with caution. There is a reason why the Word says; “lay your hands on no man suddenly…” There is a spiritual transference when laying on hands. Be careful who you let lay hands on you. Anger begats anger & Peace begats peace. The Laying on of hands is NOT for show. The power of suggestion is real and some will respond simply because they are easily led.
It is so very important to KNOW GOD & HIS WORD for yourself! Seeking the Truth brings Light into our lives. Quickly release the things that are not true. This also allows less room for any darkness to penetrate the Spiritual Armor. Allow God’s Light to shine in your heart, mind and soul in the midst of grief. Know that the The Kingdom of God resides within the committed believer. Luke 17 Therefore regularly take some time to; “Be still and know!” Let God direct and comfort you. His Holy Spirit is the Awesome Comforter. God’s Word will be a Light unto your path in every situation. Through Christ Jesus we have been blessed with the opportunity to overcome life as we live to please God.
It is written;
God’s Word says; “Now this I say, brethren that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has out on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory…” Revelation 15: 50-55.
CHRIST JESUS conquered life, sin, death and the grave!
Yes we all will experience grief to some extent within our lifetime. But remember when a believer dies he/she goes to Heaven. As a believer although it is an enemy, death is not to be feared. Nor is it something anyone should choose as an option. Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus conquered life, sin, death, and the grave for us. He sacrificed His life and atoned for the sins of the world. We are to reach to HIM! We have been given the gift of “Eternal Life.” We who truly believe and have accepted Jesus into our hearts have been blessed. We will transition this earth to live with God in Heaven throughout eternity. Romans 8 emphatically teaches us, there is absolutely nothing that can separate us from the love of God, not even death. God is awesome!
We will never fully understand many things. There are daily many world wide tragedies about us. God said that before the end of time many will be deceived and believe a lie. That many would take pleasure in unrighteousness.
The Perilous Days are upon us
In these “Latter Days” the Scriptures are being fulfilled. Many all throughout the world are grieving the loss of love ones daily. Due to the Coronavirus and other pestilences and plagues, death, diseases, suicide, violence, crime, terrorist attacks, war, hurricanes, floods, fierce monsoon rains and furious tsunamis. Millions have died.
Just imagine what the original flood was like. God is speaking. WE all must ge better at listening. Keep in mind we know through God’s Word that the end of time as we know it will not be via water. It will be by fire!
God sets the rainbow in the sky as a reminder of His promise. He reminds us by this that He will not destroy the world again with a flood. We also know that God is fully aware of everything that ever happens everywhere in the world. We serve a miracle working God! He is more than able. God has promised that He would always be with us.
Knowing and focusing on God during your grief or any other difficult situation you may be going through will result favorably. It may not always be easy for you. But, by exercising self-control and reaching out to God it is possible. This does not mean you will not be hurt, saddened, cry or feel abandoned. It is how you feel that let’s you know you are alive. You may even choose to walk away from God. But please know: “God will never forsake us!” So come what may; hold on to Him.
Wherever we are we can always reach out to God
God already knows our hearts. He is well acquainted with grief. Therefore, daily begin to partake in His spiritual fruit. The fruit of God’s Spirit are accessible. Self control will help you not to be controlled by your thinking, despair, others or feelings. God’s Word tells us we can even be angry yet not sin. We must yearn to yield to God’s way of reacting and responding. One never knows what a day may bring. But we do know that GOD is OMNIPRESENT! We can always and forever reach out to HIM anywhere 24/7! It is in HIM lone can we always & forever find true “Security & Significance!”
Every Word of God is true. One must only learn how to use and properly implement it and apply it wisely. It is our spiritual sword that is sharper than a two edged sowrd. It cuts both ways. Wisdom comes from God.
I thank & Praise the Lord that we have the victory even in death. How is that? Remember; Christ Jesus has overcome death and the grave. He atoned for the sins of the world upon the cross. He was crucified, died and was buried. Then He miraculously rose with all power!
Begin thinking and looking at life from a spiritual perspective. God’s children are the “apple of His eye.” God loved us so much that He allowed His only begotten Son to die for us. God is so much more than our little finite minds can imagine. God wants to walk with you through this valley of the shadow of death. He always wants us to be victorious when we are walking in TRUTH!
We serve an Omniscient Almighty GOD
Nothing ever happens in any of our lives and in the world that gets by God. God our Father and Creator ultimately always has everything under His control! Carefully read the biblical history of Job. This is why it is so very important to accept “Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!” Jesus is the only door to heaven. God’s Word tells us that there is no other name by which you can be saved.
“It is written;
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has on those who fear him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.
As for a man/woman his/her days are like grass, he/she flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’ s children- with those who keeps His Covenant. and remember to obey His precepts. The Lord has established His throne in Heaven, and His Kingdom rules over all…” PSALM 103 NIV
However, you must accept Jesus into your heart if you plan to spend eternity with God. He is the only Door to God and there is no other way to heaven. Living out loud His Word daily will give you the strength to go through this valley of the shadow of death. We can be or become confident in God’s Word! You can learn to “Walk by Faith!” God has showed us what is good and what He requires of us. And that it is the whole duty of man/woman to; “Do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.” Micah 6
Grief is natural
Life here on earth is just a mere passage way to our soul’s eternal resting place. Grief is natural. You have a right to be sad. You have a right to cry and grieve. But you do not have to live here. You can find comfort in the Lord. The Valley of the Shadow of death is real. But allow the Lord to take you through your grief not stay there forever. Stay in touch with all your feelings. But, don’t let them rob you from embracing and reminiscing upon the precious memories you shared with your love one. Allow room for joy and peace. Let this motivate you to live life to its fullest in an even better way.
Time is precious! Therefore moving forward it is important not to take it for granted. Yes initially there is a period of heaviness that might dwell with you. But daily learn to give your heavy Lord over to the Lord. Yes, you may still sometimes or annually experience this grief as well. Grief is experienced differently by each individual. At times it comes in waves. It can creep up on you. It happens randomly. But allow the precious moments in as well.
Invite the presence of the Lord all around you
When your heart is heavy freely cry and release your emotions. Get you a soft comfy pillow and turn on some good Gospel Music and let it rip. Let the tears go. But, also try singing, praying, praising and or giving thanks to God. Try just being still. Don’t run! Invite the presence of the Lord around you. Now take some time and meditate upon the Word.
Now you are ready to freely dwell upon the great moments and happy times you have shared with your love one. People do not belong to us they are not ours to keep. When the appointed time comes to transition this life we must release them back to the Lord. Remember how God has blessed you. Be Patient. Know with the Lord there will always be more time with them who believe in Him on the other side of Heaven. There will be a ” Sweet Heavenly Reunion.” They are in fact; ” absent from the body, but present with the Lord.” But know; This is only true if they accepted Christ Jesus into their hearts as their Lord and Savior.
If your love one did not believe grieve and intercede for their soul perhaps in those lasts moments they actually accepted Christ Jesus into their heart. You never know how your life impacted their life. This will also help you to stay focus on Him instead of your grief or situation at hand as you place them in the Lord’s hand. Your security and significance must rely upon God who is the amazing incredible “Solid Rock Foundation!” For He is greater than anything that will ever happen within our lives.
We never know what each day may bring. We are living in perilous times and some of everything is happening and will happen. Living for God is not just a Sunday thing. It is a daily lifestyle. We the people are His Church. Our body is the Temple where HIS HOLY SPIRIT resides. We are supposed to live each day as though we are really expecting our Lord to return. Daily welcome His infilling presence within you and all around you!
Salvation is truly God’s wonderful plan for us. God extends salvation to all that sincerely accept Jesus Christ into their hearts as Savior and Lord. One must truly believe, for Jesus Christ is the “Door ” to heaven. “JESUS saith unto him, I am the WAY the TRUTH ad the LIFE: no man cometh unto the FATHER; but by ME.” John 14 This is key to unlocking your faith & trust in the Lord. For this secures our heavenly residence with the Lord. He can give us hope in the midst of grief, death, persecution and longsuffering. Truly deliverance from all evil is possible. YES LORD! THANK YOU FATHER GOD FOR YOUR PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT!
“But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, but beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you to salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ…” Thessalonians 2: 13-14.
GOD WILL GET YOU THROUGH THIS!
This is why His Word says in everything give thanks. God di not say that life would always be easy. Regardless how things look; there is always & forever HOPE in the LORD! GOD is strong, sovereign and mighty. Above HIM there is no other. GOD CAN bring you through this. Lean on the Lord and keep believing and trusting in Him. Let Him lead you upon the Path of Righteousness for His Name sake. For He is more than able. Again do invite the presence of the Lord all around you. Spend time with the Lord in His Word. FOR ONLY GOD CAN GIVE YOU HIS PEACE THAT SURPASSES THE UNDERSTANDING of Man/Woman.
GOD IS HOLY! HE IS A GREAT GOD. “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” all throughout your day. This helps you learn how to keep your focus upon GOD. CALL UPON JESUS & YES EVERYDAY; PRAISE HIM & BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!

CHRIST in You the HOPE of GLORY!
There is a marvelous freedom and security we receive as we sincerely learn to trust GOD! No one or nothing can begin to compare to the magnificent difference it makes having the Lord within your life. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!” II Corinthians 3 But we must never abuse that liberty by justifying any wrong behavior in ourselves or others. Jesus Christ died so that we might have life more abundantly. This is inclusive of a rich inner spiritual life. Through His Holy Spirit we have been given the power to overcome sin when we rise above temptation. This is possible when we discipline ourselves to His principles. All who believe in the Lord & accept Jesus Christ into their hearts as Lord & Savior, will eventually defeat death and arise to experience the Eternal Life that awaits us in Heaven!
GOD has a plan and purpose for your life! It is your/our responsibility to seek HIM above all others and everything else. We should desire to KNOW what HIS WILL is for our lives. God wants us to live our lives in Peace. HIS Peace does not mean that we are without difficult situations or conflict. We simply learn to respond differently rather than just react. Our priorities are different from those of the world if not they should be. We should readily repent whenever convicted or ever found in error. Don’t let pride hinder you. We instead must opt for discipline and elect to live our lives to please God who in any given situation can give us His peace that surpasses the understanding of man. Be thankful and daily bless His Holy Name!
It is so very important to consistently spend time in the presence of the LORD in HIS WORD! Flood your mind and heart with His precious Word for it is necessary spiritual food to enlighten your soul! Not in a legalistic way. But to ignite Truth within your heart. “HIS WORD is a Lamp unto your feet and a Light unto your path…” It is here you can have a one on one encounter with the Lord and discover Jesus Christ; “The Hope of Glory!”
It is only in the Lord that we can become spiritually whole! I want to challenge you to really begin to live each day to please the Lord. Do not look to man to reinforce you, instead look to the Lord. Do not compromise God’s principles to be accepted by anyone. I assure you His peace shall increase and abide within and you will become much happier. You will not feel lonely because your awareness of His omnipresence will marvelously increase. Your perspective will change as you embrace the fact that God is always with you. He will and can lead you on the path of righteousness for His namesake…
Each day is an opportunity to grow spiritually. To be encouraged, corrected, and directed by God’s living Word! This becomes possible when we actually genuinely subscribe to meditate, ponder, embrace and daily implement the wisdom from His Word. Whatever you need for life, daily living and eternal life you can discover in the Lord. Give God His intended place in your life.
Here are a few passages of scripture to keep in mind.
“Seek (1st) first the Kingdom of GOD & HIS righteousness and everything else will be added to you…” Matthew 6
“Whatever you do, work at it with your heart, as working to the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance form the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord you are serving… Colossians 3
“Let the PEACE of CHRIST rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to PEACE. And be THANKFUL. Let the WORD of GOD dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to GOD. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the Name of the LORD JESUS, giving THANKS to GOD the FATHER through HIM…” Colossians 3
We can call upon the Lord 24/7! Be encouraged knowing that our Lord is everywhere that you are “…For it is GOD who works in you to will and to act according to HIS GOOD purpose!” Philippians 2
“…To them GOD has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the riches of HIS mystery, which Is CHRIST in you, The HOPE of GLORY!!!” Colossians 1
O what a Wonderful Savior!
What has been cannot be changed. But you can start today to move forward living a better life striving to please the Lord each day. You can or must learn how to better respond to the people and the world around you regardless of what is or is not happening. The “Last Days” are upon us and much is going on. God’s Word is being fulfilled. It is important to daily make it a point to spend time with the Lord in His Word. Especially since you take the time to do everything else.
No one actually knows when the end will come but the Lord… Therefore we are to live each day as though we are expecting Christ Jesus to return for His Church. Pray for spiritual discernment.
Welcome God’s omnipresence. God is faithful and you can depend on Him to be with you everywhere you are… His blessings go far beyond the material and what you can see. Be blessed and inspired daily as you grow in the grace, knowledge, wisdom and understanding of our Lord and HIS WORD!
May the Grace, Joy, Hope and Peace of our Lord be multiplied within your heart, mind and soul through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus! Praise, honor and glory be to our GOD, Father & Lord Christ Jesus; “The HOPE of GLORY!”

CHRIST in You the HOPE of GLORY!
God our Heavenly Father Creator & Maker wants all of us to experience His deep abiding inner peace. This does not mean that we will never have any conflict. Quite the contrary. It means that whenever chaos and mayhem is going on about us we can remain calmly centered in the midst of it. It also means that we remain cognizant as to what is happening all around us. To pray for increased spiritual discernment and insight as well. We are to learn to discipline ourselves to focus upon the Lord instead of whatever the issue at hand might be. We then humbly must yield to His Will & His Way! This in turn will begin assisting the process of lightening our load. By giving the situation over to the LORD we are trusting Him for the outcome. Spiritual healing is an ongoing process. There is always hope when we trust & believe in the Lord!
As we grow in His grace, we meekly proceed with caution when unpleasant situations arise. Not out of fear but by choosing to become disciplined and respond in patience. As we meditate upon His Word and embrace His truth; this also allows the load to begin to shift to Him. We learn how to respond responsively in the moment rather than impulsively react whenever conflict arises. As we yield to Him He molds & shapes us into His image. This is what an intimate relationship with the Lord is really about.
We receive a cavernous insightful perspective in regards to life as we stay connected to the Lord. This is how we blossom spiritually. We begin to daily embrace and be governed by His principles and elect to draw closer to Him. We relinquish wanting to be right just for the sake of being right. We want what the Lord wants for us over our own desires. We want His grace to abound in our lives therefore we submit to the leading of His Holy Spirit. When in question we must wait and “Be Still & Know!” The Lord then begins to multiply within us the Fruit of His Spirit.
Without an ongoing growing intimate personal relationship with the Lord through Jesus Christ, you will miss the true purpose of life & living! You will be towed right along and tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, belief, concept and custom as well as tend to readily subscribe without question to the many traditions of man. You will also be unconsciously shaped into the ways of this world rather than the character of God. Tradition in itself is not bad, but it should not be used to get you to conform to the desires of man only to label you disobedient when you do not adhere to their way of being… It is so very important to know the Word of God for yourself.
God is Omniscient! There is absolutely nothing that we cannot learn from the Lord as we yield ourselves to Him. He will direct us to the necessary resources to facilitate further spiritual growth. As long as we are on this side of Heaven there is still room for improvement. We are here to grow and live out the principles of God’s Word! When we have learned whatever is necessary to complete this phase of life we begin the transition towards going homeward to meet Him.
Understanding comes from God. He can open our eyes and give us better insight in any and every situation. HIS abiding Holy Spirit awaits to lead us on the path of righteousness on the marvelous journey for truth & eternal life with our Heavenly Father.
God’s Holy Spirit abides within us who believe! Our body becomes the temple where His Holy Spirit the Comforter resides. We must in turn ask to be filled over and over again.
Overcoming Sin

“It is by Grace we are saved not of works lest any man should boast.” Salvation is a gift of God. God has predestined us to be conformed to the image of His son. Once we become saved it is a continual growing process?
The process of salvation was designed by God to redeem us from the curse of sin and death. Due to the original sin of Adam and Eve we have inherited a sin based nature. We have inherited a natural proclivity towards sin. When we begin to grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior we can begin learning how to overcome our weaknesses. Not in our own strength but only by His power. Psalms 84:11 says “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
Jesus overcame sin in the flesh as an example. To demonstrate and model to us that when we are obedient to God we can overcome flesh weaknesses. We must make a conscious effort to live lives that are pleasing in the sight of God. The Old Testament is full of examples when God’s children lived Holy lives. We are to live Holy. Holy does not mean we are sinless. It means we consciously choose to be governed by what God says. We are set apart for His use. There should be a definite difference in the way you live. It should reflect change eventually. Your life should reflect some evidence that you have surrendered. God does not ask us to do anything that we are not able to do. God has said, “Be ye Holy because I am Holy”.
When we choose to sin there are consequences. Salvation does not exempt us from the consequences of sin. The law of sowing and reaping is true. You do reap what you sow. Begin to sow seeds of righteousness before your sin harvest overtakes you. The world embraces sin. It continues to lure the believer to think that walking the broad road is safe. God does love us unconditionally but He allows us to be impacted by sin. The world is currently experiencing the consequences of sin. Jesus who was without sin died in shame on the cross for us. He bore the weight of our sins. He died; He gave His life to atone for the consequences of our sin.
We have been justified. This means we have been declared righteousness. We have been sanctified. Pardoned from the guilt and penalty of sin. This still does not give us an excuse to sin. God’s grace shields us from the total impact of our sins. Roman 5 says; “Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into His grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of GOD and not only that, but we glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces patience and patience, character and character hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Why do we continue to encourage sin to prevail? When we condone sin we are doing just that. Scripture tells us ” If we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive us of our sins and His blood will cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. We must begin to move to a higher level of functioning. Our works do not save us. But our works are supposed to display our faith. If we allow sin to recycle and reign in our lives we water down the effectiveness of salvation. We must implement self- control over our sin weakness. Jesus was strong yet compassionate. Breaking unhealthy cycles can be painful. The old cliché’ no pain no gain is warranted.
God’s grace is the equalizer. It reminds us that he has given us salvation in lieu of who we are! No one deserves or can earn salvation. Each of us must develop a personal relationship with the Lord. This is where your personal strength comes from. If we hide God’s Word in our heart it helps us not to sin against Him. The scriptures are designed to shine the light on our sin so we can be convicted. When truly convicted we can feel remorseful. This is the process that leads to true repentance. “Grace and peace is multiplied by the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” According to II Peter 1:2
Quite often people don’t know the difference between persecution and conviction. Persecution is to harass in a manner to injure, grieve, or afflict. Convict means to find or prove guilty! The two are often confused. When you allow someone to feel convicted they may often see you as negative. Why? Because they will often associate you with the guilt they are feeling. They quite often feel you are persecuting them. It is very important to know your motives. You must learn to be a guardian to your heart. When you know your motives and you are aware God knows your motives you will have inner peace. Take time to study the prophets. You will be able to clearly see that they were considered as very negative. You see God’s grace is crucial for the Christian. It will sustain you when you are misunderstood.
Life is full of many valley and mountain top experiences. The casual acceptance of sin has allowed many to be deceived. Dysfunction has been sanctioned and embraced. Weakness nourished and comforted. Dysfunction has become an unhealthy comfort zone for many. God does not want any of His children to be a slave to sin. When you are a slave to something or someone it or they control you! Abandoning unhealthy cycles can be painful. But it actually leads to freedom! We begin to embrace freedom when we learn to take responsibility for our actions. Abandon the tendency to blame someone else. This will also begin to free you from the difficult merry-go-round of dysfunction. Did you know it is much easier to blame someone else for your unhappiness? If you take an honest examination you may possibly be able to determine the origin of your unhappiness. Quite often it was there long before you met your current accuser. Begin to take control by taking responsibility. Find healthy ways to meet your physical emotional and spiritual needs. Hebrews 4:16 tell us to”Come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”
Paul had a thorn in his flesh but God told him his grace was sufficient! We today still don’t know what that thorn was! Perhaps it was the very thing that brought Paul in such close fellowship to the Lord? God allows people, situations, and things in our life for a reason. Discipline is not usually something we naturally welcome. Why? We would really rather avoid pain! Many times we would actually rather discipline someone else. But for the child of God discipline is absolutely necessary! A little acronym I learned long ago; Grace is actually Gods, Riches, At, Christ, Expense!
Christ did not need to suffer to learn obedience. He suffered for us! He humbled Himself for us! He fulfilled all of the requirements of righteousness for us! Roman 6:1 “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? We as children of God must strive to continuously discipline ourselves to His principles! Ask your self have you died to sin? Or should I say or you dying daily to sin? Is sin reigning in your life? Have you ventured onto the broad road? Or are you sitting on the fence? Begin to lay aside any sin that hinders your walk with the Lord! Commence living and standing on the Word of God! Jesus sacrificed his life for us. The blood sacrifices of animals would not do. God said if you truly love Him you will keep His commandments. In Roman 12 we are told to; “Present your body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of GOD.”

JESUS CHRIST the HOPE of GLORY!
Abba Father God, we come in the name of Jesus to thank You for this glorious and wonderful day that You have made! We thank You Lord for Your Word that You have given us as a guide as to how we should live. We acknowledge You as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last and Everything in Between. Above You there is no other. We Thank You Lord God that the Word of the Old Testament was fulfilled through Jesus Christ our LORD & SAVIOR.
Father, Your Word is timeless it is alive and powerful! We thank You Lord for Your Holy Spirit that You have given us to be with us and guide us to all TRUTH! Father we thank You that You allowed Your Son Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect sinless life, to die on the cross for us in our place. He overcame sin, death and the grave and rose with ALL POWER!!! He was also Your Word wrapped in sinless flesh in its purest form. We know that everything was spoken into existence by Him and everything consists for Him and by Him. Yet for us He left Heaven then; He humbled Himself to victoriously live out and earthly existence in pure holiness. For this we THANK YOU!
He overcame and conquered sin in the flesh so He could be the only perfect example to each and every one of us both SAVED as well as the unsaved! “To be born of the virgin Mary.” He lived a miraculous marvelous life. So we could strive and thrive to have a perfect life ever growing in Your grace as we become complete in You. Then He suffered under Pontius Pilate, who was then crucified died and was buried. On the third day He arose from the dead. He then arose with ALL POWER. Father for this we THANK YOU!
We realize Father it is because of Your Love, Grace and Mercy we exist. That we as Your children are supposed to be “in the world but not of the world.” Father, I/ we thank You for Your Living Word You have given us to govern our lives by. Not in a legalistic rigid manner, but in a way that pleases You. We Thank you Lord, for salvation by Your grace and that You have already blessed us with every spiritual blessing through CHRIST JESUS. We know that You disburse to us as You see fit. We pray Lord that we continuously learn to live our lives in a way that Your light is able to shine through us!
Lord, convict us all of any and bring sincere repentance whenever necessary…
Abba Father God, we will rise everyday to bless, praise, thank & worship Your Name.
Help us Lord to look to You from which our help comes from as we overcome evil with good. Daily cleanse us from all unrighteousness through Your Word. Lord, You are our Light and our salvation, because of this we have no one to fear. Thank You for Your omnipresence. We realize that You are ALWAYS with us to lead, guide, direct and protect us from seen and unseen dangers. Father we need you in a world that continues to put Your principles for daily living on the back burner. We realize Father that You can return at any moment. Help us to prepare for your return by living each day as though You were to come at anytime. Again Father we thank You for all your precious blessings, past, present and future!
In the name of JESUS we ask that You daily fill us with the presence of Your precious HOLY SPIRT. Lead us in the path of righteousness for Your namesake. Thank You Father God, for the “security & significance” we have in You. For it is in You “We live and move and have our being.” We ask these and all Blessings in the mighty Name of our Lord & Savior Christ Jesus! Amen, AMEN & HALLLELLLUJAH AMEN!!!
YES LORD!!!
STRIVE & THRIVE EVERYDAY TO LIVE: “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!”
Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us – From the “Pit” to the “Palace”

A Man of Color as President of the United States
America along with the world has been privileged to share a monumental, memorable phenomenon. Barak Obama becoming the 44th President of the United States of America is nothing short of a miracle! If you look closely and attentively throughout the corridors of America’s history you will find that what was thought to have been unheard of has happened. By the grace of God the “Impossible has become possible!”
It took faith, fortitude, stamina, dedication, persistence and perseverance to forge ahead against insurmountable odds for Barak Obama to pursue relentlessly the position of president. His winning the candidacy for the President of America reaches far beyond the United States. It has been said that his methodical, strategic campaign was a seamless, well planned, professionally skilled endeavor of any other candidate.
It took Faith because it is clear that he had to believe without seeing
This victory has brought about a much needed message of “Hope” and renewal of confidence within the American people. It also yields a restored “Faith in God.” The Word of God tells us that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” The Truth and promises of the scriptures have been “made alive.” “With God All things are possible.” One can surely appreciate the fact that the ” highway of possibilities” has been opened. The possible pathway of opportunities are boundless for our nation, the world and future generations to come.
We live in a vast world with a diversity of cultures
Traveling throughout the world affords one the opportunity to broaden your perspective and experience and envision life through a much broader lens. I am thankful for having been afforded such an opportunity, to travel throughout the world along with my husband/pastor as well as in a group. The world is so very diverse with a plethora of multi cultural people, customs, religions and beliefs. All having such a broad assorted variety of lifestyles in which an innumerable amount of peoples with diverse backgrounds live together. But regardless as to where I have traveled, from Mexico to Aruba, the Bahamas to Jamaica, England to Rome, Athens Greece to Ephesus, France to Spain and Switzerland…. I have always been thankful to return home to America. We have met wonderful people.
There have been countless wonders, magnificent architectural expressions and artistic monuments as well as majestic sceneries to behold from the hilltop Montserrat to Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City to the Blue Mosque and Hagias Sophia in Turkey. Yet I have never seen nor experienced a place where the freedom in which we are privy to here in America is experienced anywhere else in the world. It is because of this freedom and opportunity Barak Obama has become the 44th and 1st Afro American President. How ironic he and his family will be the first Black Family to ever take up resident in the nation’s capitol infamously known as “The White House.” “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us.”
Discrimination & Systemic Racism is real!
In the 1930’s America was a segregated society where everything was separate. There were even separate water fountains and restrooms labeled for “Whites only” and less hygienic accommodations for the “Colored”. Maybe this will help you if you have not experienced racism. or discrimination. It comes in many forms. Think about having to use the bathroom and you can’t be cause of the color of your skin. Or not being able to eat or have a drink a water unless you do it in the not so clean backroom. Let’s not forget back seats on buses and back entrances to public facilities.
Many Colored/Blacks decided to migrate to the North. Being born and raised in California has had its benefits since here, we have been somewhat shielded from the dire profundity of racism and discrimination that has permeated the deep south. Not that discrimination did not go on here, it did, and has. In some instances it continues…. Here we have just been a tad further removed from the antagonistic discrimination which was so outwardly and blatantly, readily displayed itself in the deep south. Despite the fact America is a country made up of immigrants from all over the world. Where slavery was practiced and embraced. Where many Whites felt that they were superior to Colored/Blacks and we were perceived as inferior. To many even to be dark skinned was considered a curse. To be beaten, severely punished, raped or lynched and treated less than human was once considered acceptable behavior.
Because of the color of your skin, the right to learn how to read and write was also denied as well as deemed illegal. Dissension, factions, immorality and discord are works of the flesh. Here is an excerpt from the article; Blacks are better off than in 1999 than in 1960 “After the Civil War, many amendments were passed in order to better represent blacks in America. The 13th, 14th and 15th amendments all changed blacks’ lives drastically and positively. The 13th amendment ended slavery and the 14th declared blacks as citizens. The fifteenth amendment stated that anyone can vote, regardless of color or race. However, the South devised poll taxes and literacy tests in a successful attempt at preventing blacks from voting. But in 1964, after a sufficient number of states ratified an amendment proposed by Congress, the tables turned for blacks. The 24th amendment banned poll taxes. The voting act of 1965 banned the use of literacy tests related to voting. Voting gave blacks a say in government and helped raise the moral of blacks in America.” “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us.” Really!
Based on the color of your skin Legal Segregation was actually lawful
I can personally recall from time to time watching on television the injustices broadcasted on the news and the many interruptions for special bulletin news reports as a child. I can remember the many tales of my parents and the many experiences they encountered growing up in the early 1900’s in Arkansas. My father was a light skinned Bi-racial man and my mother was a mahogany skinned Colored woman. I was a mere toddler when segregation in the schools legally ended in 1955, which resulted in the Montgomery Bus Boycotts. The Supreme Court eventually ruled that Alabama segregation laws were unconstitutional. It is during this time that Rosa parks decided not to give up her seat to a white person simply because she was so very tired. This protest resulted in Dr. Martin Luther King a Baptist Minister at the time, being ushered to the front lines as a prominent Social Leader for the Black Community.
Discrimination in theaters, hotels, hospitals and public places continued on until in 1964 Congress passed a Civil Rights Act. Dr. King lead many “Peaceful Freedom Protest Marches” protesting the many injustices upon Colored/Blacks. But let not forget he was heinously assassinated. There now has been much banter and undisclosed documentation of the FBI, CIA and undercover agents covering and uncovering lethal records to taint his legacy. This is also a good way to make sure that people of Color are limited and not able to live outside their desired boundaries for them. Despite these restrictions Dr. King’s parents brought him up in a Christian suburban home. It was not without contentions. Yet he believed, practiced and exemplified the Fruit of God’s Spirit which is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness and Self-Control. “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us.”
We as the United States of America was established by our forefathers, to be “One Nation under GOD!”
I can recall when I was in Jr. High School during the sixties, as president of my homeroom. I clearly remember having to lead the class in the “Pledge of Allegiance.” But, halfway through one particular morning, all of a sudden it dawned on me. It had become quite clear to me that it really was not “Liberty and Justice for all”. So I decided that I would silently and peacefully protest not to complete the pledge. Of course it did not go over big at all with my homeroom teacher. But it was a real awakening in my soul…
One cannot help but to appreciate the far reaching magnitude of what has taken place here on November 4th 2008! It will be forever recorded in America’s History. Despite the differences American to a degree has resumed its intended purpose and the opportunity to provide “Liberty and Justice for All” has been partially reinstated. There is no doubt that the successful election of Barak Obama was a concerted effort that included a network of people of All Colors and creeds working together. This is truly a victory for ALL people of America! This is true if you agree with his politics are not. He comes from a multi faceted colorful ancestral heritage that represents a multitude of people. “With God ALL things are possible.” His Word tells us “that God is not a respecter of persons…” It may be hard for the finite mind to fathom that God who is Omniscient, knew way back then, even from the very beginning of time what would be taking place today! “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us.”
America was founded as a Christian Nation
We as Christians and as a Country have so much to be thankful for. All of God’s Word is true. Today we are living in perilous times. But despite the nations many financial hardships, declining economy, overwhelming number of businesses closing, devaluation of property, wars and rumors of wars, terrorists attacks, natural disasters, famines and earthquakes in divers places throughout the world, we can have peace knowing God is still in absolute control. Absolutely nothing gets by Him! Romans 12 tells us, “To not be conformed to the pattern of this world! But to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will…”
As a professed Christian and believer it is very important to know God’s Word for yourself! To have an intimate personal ongoing growing relationship with GOD! The book of Romans goes on to tell us that in leadership the ability to govern diligently is a gift from God. Ultimately every authority, government and principality is under God’s authority and the headship of Jesus Christ. Colossians tells us that ” For by Him All things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible, and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and consist for Him…” Whether you believe it or not only God is Sovereign! The Bible tells us how God, delivered the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage. There are also endless true life stories in His Word of how He delivered His people from unjust rulers and countless situations that seemed impossible. “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought us.”
Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us!
It is through a committed personal relationship with His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ one can truly experience necessary continued spiritual growth and development as well as His peace and freedom that surpasses the understanding of man. There are invaluable benefits knowing who you are in Christ. Today it is through God’s grace and mercy America has been to a degree delivered! It was quite evident as we all watched the hysterical excitement permeate the enormous crowds as Barak Obama was elected president. God has truly delivered America from the clutches of despair and hopelessness and ushered in a glistening glimmer of “Hope”! “Nothing is impossible with God.” In His Word He also tells us although we may be accused living among unbelievers (pagans) we must still live to please Him! God’s promise to “never leave nor forsake us” is quite true!
Truly we can say “GOD BLESS AMERICA!” As Christians we must individually, collectively and corporately pray and ask God’s protection, grace, wisdom and direction to rest upon “President Barak Obama, his family and his staff. As he takes upon his shoulders the awesome tasks of restoring America’s dignity, credibility and prominent visual universal position. No doubt he will encounter many land mines and obstacles. I pray he can sustain integrity and dignity in the midst of it all. America has a tall order to fill. The 24th Psalms says, “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live within it…” As a country and a nation that proclaims to be “one nation under God with Liberty and Justice for ALL.” The WORD says, ” With GOD All things are possible.” Praise be to God from whom ALL blessings flow. Praise Him ALL creatures here below… It is truly amazing! Again “GOD BLESS AMERICA”
One can truly say “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought us.” He has delivered us from unjust rulers, slavery, oppression, and given us freedom. In America, Egypt, Libya, Iran, Yemen, and all over the world, Let Freedom Ring.
Yes, Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us. He has brought us from a mighty long ways.“But we still have a long ways to go.” Listen/Purchase “Look How Far The Lord Has Brought Us” from the CD “Somebody Somewhere Was Praying For Me” by Brenda Lowe.

A Very PRESENT HELP, In Times of Trouble

There is so much turbulence and conflict about us in the world today and within our country as well. Few will readily admit it, but it is a great deal of conflict going on also within the Church. Many of the ways of the world have nested itself amidst God’s Church. This is, resulting in further conflict surrounding many families, marriages, friendships, on the job and in the schools. Quite often many of the unhealthy dynamics simply go unaddressed. Guilt, blame and shame take the forefront. Therefore anxiety levels, anger, resentment, depression, addictions, numerous stress related illnesses, diseases and health concerns are on the rise.
Due to the increasing awareness of the unfortunate declining economic status many places throughout the land many are living in fear and insecurity. Our nation has begun to gradually come back from a very difficult era in time. However, there has been an overwhelming trickle down global effect on the world at large. There have been strings of layoffs, numerous companies closing, rapidly falling stock prices, decreasing values of 401K’s and other retirement accounts, were in a terrible “recession” that we are still trying to recover from. It has been said that the United States has been consuming more than it produces for years. It has been quoted that just in the last eight years we lost $40 Trillion of our economy. The Washington Times quotes; “Paul Volcker, former chairman of the Federal Reserve and an economic adviser to President Obama, told a congressional committee that massive trade-related imbalances in the U.S. economy were the source of the financial crisis that produced the ugly recession.”
There is a growing concern as to the overall quality of life worldwide. Ongoing wars, continued escalating terrorists threats and due to global warming, the threat of more hurricanes, famines, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes and more natural disasters are all becoming of a greater concern as well. There has been an extreme plethora of sinless horrific mass shootings by disgruntled foreign and domestic terrorists. Let us not forget the continuing saga of scandalous political elections. All this further leading to more broken families, divorces, suicides and escalating crime, all these and more factor into the overall quality of life as we know it.
But should we really be surprised?
In spite of it all there is still hope! If you are a believer then you must know that the Truth of God’s Word is being affirmed. Jesus has said, “You will hear, of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed, such things must happen, but the end is still to come, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of many will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24 It is so very important to know God’s Word!
God’s timeless Word is so wonderfully amazing! Our attitude and perception have a lot to do with how we cope in any given situation. Conflict is inevitable. The Lord really is, can, and will be a refuge in times like these. Although a growing concern is warranted. God is able! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.” God’s people should always look to Him, especially when it seems as though the world is coming apart. On many occasions even within His Church the ways of the world have been embraced. But this is nothing new. Things may even get worst before it gets better. There is much spiritual warfare about us. But don’t blame God. Our security and significance must be in Him alone! God’s weapons are not carnal. One must seek to not compromise His Word. During adversity with balanced faith, families grow stronger, healthy relationships are fortified when the armor of the Lord is embraced. His Word prevails! Just know God will never lead you to do anything contrary to His Word. Man from the very beginning has quite often chosen to disregard what God has said. What we are experiencing is a direct result of those consequences. But remember, “The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof, the world and them that dwell therein…”
Begin to consider looking to God and His principles for the solution to whatever you may be going through. In Him there is always hope! Whenever conflict arises it is so very important to consult Him. More often than not when conflict arises He is the last resort. God has given us various illustrated methods to utilize healthy confrontation. But too often pride is at the forefront and carnal methods are employed instead. I would like to share with you a tidbit from the narrative on Joseph. It is one of the many exhilarating examples you can find in the Bible: There was a “famine” or should I say “recession” in the land?
Joseph was favored by the Lord and was also his father’s Israel’s favorite. This called much conflict. Joseph had many brothers. “Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made a richly ornamented robe for him. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.”Joseph had several dreams. In one of his dreams, “the sun moon and stars bowed down to him.” His brothers were jealous of Joseph so they plotted together and sold Joseph into slavery, they called him a “dreamer.” They then slaughtered a goat, put the blood on Joseph’s robe, went home, lied and told their father that Joseph had been killed…
While a slave Joseph’s master Potiphar favored him and put him in charge of all that he possessed. His master’s wife tried to seduce him, but Joseph would have no part of it. She in turn lied on him and he was unjustly put into prison. While in prison the Lord’s favor was with Joseph. The warden was so impressed by Joseph, even here he put him in charge of everything! Joseph was able to interpret dreams. While in prison, many things happened to Joseph… One day, Pharaoh the King of Egypt was troubled and had a dream. Joseph was called; he was able to interpret his dream. The Pharaoh realized that Joseph was wise and discerning. “So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt…”
A great famine came upon the land. Joseph had planned wisely and because of it there was ample food in Egypt. Joseph’s brothers lived in Canaan were there was no food. They were sent to Egypt by their father to buy grain. Guess what? When they arrived in Egypt they had to bow down to Joseph, he was now the governor. God knew way in advance what was going to take place. In spite of all Joseph’s mistreatment and adversity the Lord was still with Joseph… He finally revealed himself to his brothers. “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry for selling me here, because it was to save the lives that God sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been a famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping. But GOD sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance…” (For the details of this amazing narrative, read Genesis 39-47) Look at God!
This is why it is important to “Be Still and know that He is God.” Knowing God and His Word helps us to discern and recognize when something is not of Him. This is why we must daily ask for the infilling presence of His Holy Spirit. God does not have to manipulate, operate undercover, nor utilize false witnesses. God is aware of everything. He is Omniscient! It is very important to know the Lord’s Word for yourself and develop an ongoing, growing, trusting, personal intimate relationship with Him. It is important to learn to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”
We must learn to invite God into all areas of our lives. God has a way in which to resolve conflict and confront issues that is quite different from that of the world. Remember He is a SPIRIT of TRUTH! His Word is full of seemingly impossible situations that resulted in a favorable outcome. Many who claim to be Christians continue to embrace very carnal ways to remediate behavior and seek resolutions. Many subscribe to a dual lifestyle one way at home and another way is present before the Church Community. It is important to keep in mind that God is aware of everything. He knows us from the inside out. Many really do not know nor believe that His Holy Spirit really does have Transformation power! He can and is more than able to bring about a true Metamorphosis in your life. Praise God!
Jesus Christ came so that we might live differently. Throughout His Word you will find all sorts of situations that are profoundly unfathomable. Yet He saw and will see His people through. There is a wealth of wisdom found in the Word of God that is priceless. The Pharisees was the established religious order that sought to discredit Jesus. They were intimidated by Him because He did not adhere to their legalistic practices. Spiritually they were blind. They too wanted to continue to resolve things their own way. Jesus was a living example as to what one can expect when you truly dedicate your life to Him! God knew way back then what would be going on now. “Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies: nothing you can desire can compare with her…”
Some things just will not be understood on this side of heaven. From the very beginning God had a plan for our lives. God is so gracious, loving, kind and patient. Few know what it truly means to love. God is love. Can you really love without knowing Him? He sent His only begotten Son so we could be redeemed from the power of sin. We have been given an Eternal Comforter an Internal Teacher! Even in the midst of all the turmoil that is about us His plan is still the same. If you are burdened down by the pressures and stresses of life, I have some “Good News” for you. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). God may not remove every burden, every difficult person or situation in your life, but you can find comfort in His Word. It is important to know His Promises! I assure you, He will and does keep all His Promises! Even in your difficult days, His Word will be “A lamp unto your feet and a Light unto your path. I have sworn and I will keep your righteous judgments…” To GOD be the GLORY!
Do You Know What Time It Is?

The Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes tells that there is a time for everything under the sun. This wonderful book is another illustration depicting God knowing all things. Solomon was the wisest and richest man that ever lived. Ecclesiastes was written to spare future generations the necessity of learning through their own experiences. In this book he shares the futility of living a life apart from God’s principles. He also tells us that “God will bring to judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time for every deed”. One thing that is clear, is that there is nothing that takes place that God is not aware of. We were created for his glory! The purpose of our life is to glorify God in all that we do.
We have a moral, ethical and spiritual obligation to grow in the knowledge of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Once we accept Christ we progress toward spiritual wholeness. To become a new creation one must put away old sinful habits. The Apostle Paul talks about becoming a new creature through Christ Jesus. Paul in the New Testament knew as well that there would be those who would try to undermine his good intentions. He knew that there would be those who would continue in sin. That there would be those who would justify supporting those who choose to continue to practice sin.
God’s Word clearly tells us that there will come a time when they will even attempt to put you out of their church. They will even try to control you with rules they made themselves. Yet they do not adhere to them! That time is now! You see Paul expressed freedom rather than rules! Paul tells us that those who rely on the law are cursed. (See Galatians) He stressed freedom and living in the liberty that Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection made possible! God instructs us to be careful of those who divide His Church as well! God is not divided nor is He the author of confusion. Before faith came we were prisoners to the law. The righteous are to live by FAITH! He has left us His Comforter to lead and guide us to all TRUTH! Hebrews tells us that the Lord would write His laws in our hearts!
“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.” Please bear with me as we look at a few scenarios. Tell me, is it okay to stand before God’s people drunk or under the influence of some narcotic substance and deliver scripture? ( This excludes temporary medications ) If so is this a good example for children or anyone else? Is this of the Holy Spirit? Is it okay to engage in immoral activities? Does it matter if you do or say whatever you desire and then want to stand in front of God’s people and tell them how and when to worship Him? Or is it that the above are okay for some and not for others? Or is it only for those who let you do whatever you want, when and how you want? Better yet does it even matter at all if we consecrate ourselves for Worship Services? Oh well, I guess we just confess we believe in Jesus? At some point in time you can seriously decide to change? Just think for a moment. What if Jesus came back during Worship? When you are on a date? Or at home? Perhaps while at work? Or had you even given His return much thought? Well, how about on Saturday morning or Wednesday evening? That time is nearer than you might think. What if death knocks on your door are you ready? Are you preparing to live with Him in eternity?
God is calling His children home daily! The point is, do you know what time it is? It is time out for foolishness! Let’s see what the book of Galatians tells us about the works of the flesh. They are “Sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealously, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy drunkenness, or orgies, and the like, I warn you, as I did before that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God!” You see we really need to know what time it is. Look how marvelous God is! He knew in Solomon and Paul’s time as well that the world would be the way it is today! Jesus died that we might overcome sin in the flesh. Do not be deceived. This is why when sin knocks at your door you do not have to answer! You can sincerely call on the Savior!
Do you really know the purpose of life? Do you know what time it is? The wide road that leads to destruction is well traveled by many. The narrow road that leads to God has fewer travelers. We must be careful when we decide to stand up for our rights. Have they been measured by God’s standards? God wants us to stand up for His principles. In today’s time Ecclesiastes would be considered negative. But from God’s perspective it has a plethora of wisdom!
You see! God wants your life fulltime! He is not only interested in what you do on Sunday! Or just what other people see! He is interested in every facet of your life! When your life focuses on God it will have meaning! He wants to not only free you but your children and your children’s children! Get off that wide road! Break generational cycles of dysfunction! You do not have to settle for a pseudo emotional temporary experience. He can deliver you from all evil! He can and will keep you in any and every situation. He will even turn what others mean for evil into GOOD! Do you really know what time it is?
We were created in the image of God. We must learn to take heed to what God says throughout His Word. We must be doers of His Word! He even tells us in Ecclesiastes ” Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are in earth, so let your words be few. As a dream comes when there are many cares, so the speech of a fool when there are many words.” If you carefully read and prayerfully listen to God’s Word you can commence fervently cultivating an environment where God’s Spiritual Fruit can grow and flourish.
Paul tells us that “the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control! Against such there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.” It is important that we really know, and implement God’s Word in our lives daily!
The teacher in Ecclesiastes was not only wise but he imparted and shared his Wisdom. Today sin abounds! Everything and anything goes! God continually Speaks To His children in many ways. God always has a better way! We are Soldiers; but our weapons are not carnal! He will fight all your battles! This is why He says when you have done all you can do just “Stand!” He did not say that everything in this life would be good. But He did say if you love Him and are called according to His purpose; He would work it out for your good! He Tells to ” overcome evil with good!” Works do not save you, but they do display your Faith.
His Word tells us to pray for those who despitefully use you.
I urge you to take some time and really evaluate where you are in your relationship with the Lord? Do you know what time it is? Do not walk in the counsel of ungodly people. Do not allow anyone to enable you by making you comfortable in sin. This keeps you separated from God. “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to You” It is not too late for you to get your life in order… Jesus Christ death on the cross atoned for the sins of the world… You do not have to continue to live a yoyo existence! YOU CAN BE DELIVERED! Today is a good day to start anew. REPENT! It is a beautiful thing to see one’s life turned around in the right direction by the Lord. God is truly more able! THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST JESUS CLEANSES US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS! God’s plan for mankind has not changed. GOD LOVES YOU BUT NOT THE SIN!
The author of Ecclesiastes ends this wonderful book of wisdom by simply stating; ” Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter; Fear God and keep His Commandments for this is the whole duty of man For GOD will bring every deed into judgment including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”
Do YOU know what time it is?
